Thanks. To execute the run function, try this:

Hold the windows key + press R at the same time. This will make the run pop-up appear. Type DXDIAG in there, and hit enter!

Also, seeing as I'm too lazy to post my own thread, I would like you to also diagnose my problem. My computer just lags like mad throughout the whole snowman spawning, basically i get about 1 frame every 10 seconds, and in the end none of my attacks register and so ive never actually gotten a present :/. Anyways, I run on wifi (which is fine), i have a macbook air with specs:
MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2013), 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory, Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB
    Also,
I dont usually d/c, just experience insane lag (even while doing gfx, low graphics, etc.)

If i'm not mistaken, Macs do run poorly with the server. Not a bad thing, it happens with zakum and ht too I believe. Wifi is never truly stable and can be overloaded a lot more easily than Ethernet. You'll go slower on wifi and the fps is probably just a mix of your wifi and mac lag. I think there's some programs to help lag on Macs in game but I wouldn't know because I use PC.

Snowman with many people takes more computer power than that.

The only problem with mac is when it comes to bossing, where they can't.

I think snowman should be disabled in ch1, I think that's where I lag the most and therefore causing me to DC all the time.

As mentioned by Andreas, WiFi is extremely unstable, and you WILL experience disconnections abruptly. I recommend you purchase an Ethernet cable. If you do not have an Ethernet port, then you can easily purchase an Ethernet-to-USB adapter, which will allow you to connect to the cable. This will reduce significantly reduce your disconnection rate.

Simply put, your computer specs are too low to handle that many players in one tiny map! You will need to upgrade your video card along with installing some more RAM. On top of that, you are using a Mac which always has had issues with Maplestory. Sorry :(

Exactly. The programs that help with boosting game-play can be find by clicking here. I personally do not recommend these, because Macs are already unreliable and downloading more programs may not be the wisest decision. However, if you are desperate... then it is your decision!

Whatever, last year I had none of these issues, it's not my computer, not my internet, it's the game that can't handle as many players as we have now. You may close this topic, I already lost 2 weeks of event and since staff is busy with christmas and all that, It's not worth it anymore to help me fix it, I'll just play something else, thanks for the people who tried to help. Merry christmas~

You said it yourself- we have many more players. We've capped the room to 100 people max, and we average 50-80 or so in a map at once. It's nothing to do with the server, and it's all on your computer. Your only other options is to try and grab a group of friends and try to do a stealth run on your own without as many people. Close out unnecessary programs, etc.

I heard closing out of skype helps! I personally have to turn everything off (especially vmware) if I want to be able to participate. Other than that, have you tried gfxing? Many people need to gfx. I personally am linked to internet via an ethernet cord, so maybe try that as well.

But like it's been mentioned, you could always make your own event ^^ My friends and I have done that so we could have a chance at getting items on our other chars that nornally wouldn't be able to last through the lag.

Skype and browsers (firefox, chrome) eat a lot of computer resources especially when you're running a lot as it is. Definitely helps to close out of it.
