    Hi!

I started Royals without the knowledge of HP washing. When I learned about it I didn't care much since I thought I'd quit way before 155 anyway. But I did not quit lol.
Now, I would like to have at least 5.6k HP or 6k ideally when I hit 155. Is it too late ? Or rather, is it worth it ? Here's my char:

    Job : NL
    Level : 121
    HP : 3807
    MP : 2366

I used the provided formulas found on the forum to figure out min maxMP. I get 524. Now can I just buy enough AP resets to transfer those 524MP points to HP in one shot?
But I'm kinda lost after that. Gossamer's guide stipulates that I need 50 ap resets and apparently 40int. I am super lost at this point. Help please.

    Thanks =]

Apparently, it's too late to wash your character now. Due to the recent server check, you need more than 8.6k HP at survive a single hit at horntail, thus I don't think it's worth washing this current character.

I suggest you can consider remaking another character and start washing it from the very beginning.

5.6k HP for Horn Tail is enough to survive only if you can get HB now.

Now... if you're still into it and you don't wanna remake your character I can guide you a bit.

Having 524 excess MP means you have about 43 washes available and having 43 washes available means you can get an extra potential 960 HP in 9 levels (I say 9 levels because you'd have to use the fresh AP method which involves having unused AP... so you need 9 levels to get those AP). Leveling 9 times would increase your HP by about 180 HP (iirc it was like 18-22 per level for a NL, so 20 HP average)

Your current HP is 3807 and you're level 121, if you wash that excess MP by level 130 you'd have around 4947 HP.

    To answer your questions:

    Is it too late?
By only washing 43 times you'd have around 5447 HP at level 155, you'd be able to reach 5.6k HP by around level 163. If you really wanna hit 5.6k at 155 and not any later you'd be missing around 153 HP which means you'd need to get 84 extra excess MP from somewhere (to be able to wash another 7 times with fresh AP), this means you'd have to get INT gear that adds around 35 26 extra INT or so, and wear it before you level up. I think you can get that gear for a reasonable price, but you'd have to start using it right away.

    Is it worth it?
Regarding HP I think having more HP is always better than not having more HP, I would actually wash at least those 43 times.
Regarding having that amount at level 155 for Horn Tail: You're not too useful at HT at level 155 (people might want higher leveled people to deal more damage) so it's actually okay to be able to reach it at level ~163.

I hope I was clear and sorry if I made any miscalculations (though I don't think I did :p).

EDIT: Fixed a typo, fixed a number.

Thank you for the reply! I have questions though.

    1. Why can't I just simply buy X ap resets to convert my 524 excess MP into HP.
End result would be : 524+3807 = 4331 HP at level 121. I would then proceed to the usual hp washing procedure for each next level.

    2. I don't really get where the 35 extra int comes from. Is it 35int + the base 4int ? That would give me 39int which is 3 additional MP per level. Why not acquire 36 extra int so that it sums to 4 additional MP per level ?

Lol, as you may have guessed. I don't want to restart over. =P

    No problem. :p

The way fresh AP washing works is by having UNUSED Ability Points. In your case you need 43 unused AP to get rid of all that excess MP you have at the moment which requires you to level at least 9 more times (unless you have 43 unused AP at level 121 for some reason then you could do it right now). Each wash iteration takes away 12 MP from your MP pool, this means that each time you wash you'll have less and less MP to the point where you can't wash anymore because you've hit your minimum MP pool (level * 14 + 148).

The proccess to wash with fresh AP is the following:
Use one of your unused AP and add it into HP.
Use an AP reset to take away MP and add it into your desired primary or secondary stat (LUK/DEX).
Repeat until you've hit your minimum MP pool (repeat until you can't wash anymore).

If you want to calculate how many remaining washes you have use the formula: [(currentMP - (level * 14 + 148)) / 12] and round it down.

You're right I actually overlooked something really important and I made a mistake in my previous post (sorry :p). You'd actually need to get 26 INT from your gear to get 3 extra MP per level (26 INT from gear + 4 base INT ), this way you'll be able to obtain 102 extra MP from those 34 levels from 121 to 155 , getthing 102 extra MP means you'd be able to wash another 8 times by the time you hit 155 and 8 washes yield 176 HP on average.

I'm just mentioning the minimum you'd need to achieve your goal of 5.6k at 155. If you can afford better INT gear it would be a bit better in the long run (more washes!) though it starts getting very pricey at some point so it's up to you.

That's what I supposed haha. If you have any other question feel free to ask.

    OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!
So much clearer now. There's one last thing that bothers me. It's this following table from Gossamer's guide : http://i.imgur.com/SksMBaR.png
So according to the table, if I primarily need 26int (30 with 4 base int), does that actually mean I need 26 + 40 int since I'm level 121 ?

Again THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the help!! :D

I think that table refers to the amount of INT you'd need if you had never used INT gear before leveling up before. I'm going to assume you had a Zakum Helmet and a Deputy star for some levels now which DO contribute to your INT gear to get extra MP each level up.

The text before the table states you need to wash 50 times by the time you reach level 155 and we've calculated that you currently have 43 available washes and you need another extra 7 washes (50 too).

If you want to be 100% sure you'll reach 5.6k just go for INT gear that adds at least 36 INT (36+4 base) so you get 4 MP each level up (136 extra MP from 121-155 / 11 extra washes from 121-155 which yield 242 extra HP). You can get 36 INT gear for cheap so I say go for it instead of 26 INT for even more extra HP (remember that Zakum Helmet, Deputy Star and even Rudolph's Nose count towards it!).

You're a LIFE SAVER!! Thank you very very very much for time. MUCH OBLIGED.
I'll try to get 46-56int so I can wash even further. It won't hurt and I think I can afford it =]

THANK YOU AGAIN AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!
