Is it true that if you drop an item in front of your merchant, it resets the timer for it? (You don't have to reopen it) I saw this one person from yesterday get an FM1 spot and the next day (today), the shop has the same title and the same items being sold. I knew that person had created the shop around this time, but it's not closing... 20-30 minutes earlier, that person came in front of the merchant (I was getting prepared to open mines), and that person drops something in front of it. At first, I thought she was going to reopen the shop, then I thought it was some sort of bait to check if I was AFK or not (I didn't pick it up), but then that person leaves right after the item was dropped and never came back. So I was wondering, is it true that dropping an item in front of your merchant will reset the timer? If so, what item does it have to be specifically?
how can you be sure that person didn't reset his store before its 24hours. That what I usually do to avoid spots thieves like you who afk there and wait me to reset it.
Also, the shop's name was one letter, meaning that person tried to create the shop really quickly before anyone else could. But, I'm assuming that that person actually did recreate the shop in the middle of the day because now I've checked again and it still isn't closing.
Most people who really want to keep their spot will re-set it during the day before the 24 hour mark. I dont know of anything with dropping an item to reset it, so he's probably just reset it before then.
