Why my lv 1 Heaven's hammer doesnt reduce to 1hp my mobs?

    Hey all, I saw videos about heaven's hammer and it reduces to 1 the HP of monsters, but mine doesn't! It's a bug? Or Am I using it in the wrong way? thnx!

    Wtf, the most awesome skill on paladin is glitched? XDDD It should be a joke, I should have read that list before I created it XDDD

    I simulated those videos and simply HH doesnt work for me, they are for 2009 so I think the version is the same or lower than ours. Thnx for response

    It says 20 second cooldown which is not the same version as us.

    From reading a bit on MapleSea it did up to monster hp (-1) or damage cap, but it was also a fullscreen attack a mini genesis and as I never played one can't say how it is here.

    It did have a different name on MapleSea called Sanctuary/Spiritual Hammer.

    My Heavens Hammer does damage, but it seems to be a fixed amount. I've used it at FoG and it one shots everything, I've used it at Qualm Monks/Trainees/Guardians and it does damage (no one-shot, not reducing to one).
    I believe the skill was changed to reduce to 1 at a later patch, it just does damage now, but I'm not entirely sure.

    At lv 30, its cooldown is 20 secs too

    Yeah, that's what I noticed. It seems that only does damage... f4. I think it's glitched as I showed u the videos...

    I believe the videos to be made on another patch, so it's not neccesarily a bug. But like I said, I'm not 100% sure.

    I am surprised that the server has more than 2 years and nobody knows exactly if HH works fine lol. Feel depressed, nobody cares about Paladins

    It does the damage percentage that it says in the skill description. It was changed later to reduce mobs to 1 hp. It does not reduce mobs to 1 hp in this version or in the new source.

    Those videos are from 2009, so I found what patches were released in that time, and I checked: 0.64 (22 Jan 2009), it's not too far with the dates of the videos. So I think our version should have 1hp Hammer

    This server is v.62. On 1 december 2008, which was part of the period v.62 was active, this was the skill description.

    No mention of reducing monster to 1 health or doing damage cap to monsters who have more than 100k health. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the first date where it was mentioned, since hidden-street doesn't work very well with wayback machine after that.

    So, not a bug, skill works as it should.

    This video was released before v84 so I'm not really sure when the change happened.



    It shows some monsters with 200k hp or less being reduced to 1 which contradicts what it says in Sire's guide where he says that reduces the target’s HP to zero If they have <100,000 HP(And correct me if I'm wrong but he's a v83 warrior fanatic?)

    The date of the video combined with the patch release dates confuses me a bit hearing that it won't at least be in the new source.

    Well, when u told me we are 0.62 I went to search some videos XD I only found one from MSEA (2008)


    Check 0:40 - 0:50, HH hits to 1hp the bains.

    Well, I don't know what else to say xD But all videos I saw, ALWAYS HH hits to 1hp

    Yeah, that's weird, you have a good point. I can only say what HH does on MapleRoyals, as I never mained a Paladin in GMS pre-BB. Oh and sorry, I forgot HH is broken in the open beta, it's been a while. The skill description still says 900% and doesn't mention 1hp though.

    When playing Royals, I just assumed HH was changed sometime after v62. Your videos, along with a few others, all show 1hp HH so...I'm confused too. This GameFAQs thread is more proof that it brings mobs to 1hp. This BasilMarket guide implies that even with the old 2 min cooldown (as in v62), it still brought mobs to 1hp. It seems undeniable that by Aug 2009 (v74-75), it brought mobs to 1hp. Edit: This MapleTip guide implies that upon introduction in GMS, HH brought mobs to 1hp. I'm beginning to think HH has always been broken in Royals, but no one who played Paladin in GMS noticed/remembered.

    If anyone can answer these questions, that could help narrow it down:
    • Did HH ever not bring mobs to 1hp? Which version/time period?
    • Has the skill description ever said it brings mobs to 1hp?
    • Does anyone play another pre-BB server? How does it work there?
