Questions about Priest free leeching

?

I'm a non-priest player, and I think HS free leeching is:

  1. Welcome by me, I want a HS priest by my side, even a stranger.

  2. Acceptable by me only the free leecher is my buddy.

  3. Not very comfortable for me, but sometime have to do it for HS.

  4. Disgusting, I rather live without HS than seeing these bugs.

    Hi guys,

    Merry Christmas and Happy holiday!

I'm a very new priest, currently only at lvl. 70ish. I read some guides from the guide subforum, specially one very good Bishop guide from Bella. From that one I found out that all priest leveling up suggestions from 75+ are pure leeching because of HS... This actually makes me really sad and disappointed about my own character.

And from another F/P mage guide I saw the author called this kind of priest 'pesky and evil people' and actually made his own HS machine...

I really want to know what you guys, the community, think about HS free leeching? Is it acceptable by popular or should I just ignore this and go add shining ray then fight the way up by my own hands.

I don't see a big issue with it. You get more XP going with a solo build anyway.

I know I can, but I play priest because I want to play together with others actively, not the leeching way....

I think most players welcome priest as free leech, they get more exp with priest leeching compared to without a hs. Back in official maple story, I was playing a priest, when the map is full and not enough slot for attackers, they request priest to hs only without attacking. In fact as a priest, I dislike leeching, I can't afk but need to hs every 180seconds, and bored, I prefer attacking.

I don't think a priest has the capability to attack alongside other attackers if that's what you're talking about. If you don't wish to leech, there are a few things I used to do with my priest. In my early levels I solo trained at coolie zombies. Then later I moved to GS2 and grinded alongside another attacker. And finally, I did himes (dreamy ghosts) duo with a warrior/cb. If you don't want to leech, those are the only alternatives I can think of (although himes is technically leeching, you are speeding up the process by luring all mobs to one side of the map)

Keep in mind that you can only start himes at level 95 if you wish to duo. I highly wouldn't recommend soloing as you are just burning excessive pots and gaining less XP from HS than you would with a duo.

These are just some training spots I did on my priest, but I still encourage HS free leech.

P.S if you decide to himes, DON'T underestimate a low levelled CB. Even at level 70, they dish out some of the highest damage in the game with their meso explosion

Same as Plenty, here. I don't have any qualms with a priest leeching for free, but for me, they have to be HSing legitly (no afk, botting...)

Soloing as a priest at 75 at Himes is doable and is something I recommend. Looking at Plenty's exp chart, I can say that it is pretty accurate. You do indeed gain multiple levels an hour. As a luckless priest, you should have the magic to solo himes at that level and level faster than you would at gs2.

I don't remember how much magic I had, but I had a 32 int z helm 9 tma earrings, 99tma weapon, 0 int overall and 0 tma shield and gloves at 9 tma and 7 int shoes at that time. Pretty lousy equips, but the solo was totally fine.

Most of those equips should be pretty easy to obtain if you farmed in the right spots before 3rd job.
Only things I see that most people wouldn't be able to get is the shoes.
You can make a fairly good amount of mesos from 30-70 from just training in the right places. They may not always be the best EXP, but it gives you a pretty nice amount to get some decent gear.
