Aran/Cygnus Suggestion

I was reading up on the Source Updates that I can not seem to find anymore, but it said something about the version of the server becoming V83, but they will not be releasing the new classes. Personally, I think that Aran/Cygnus is nostalgic. Both of these classes were not OP at all in my opinion and they did not change the game. I feel like V83 was Maplestorys Prime Time because of these classes. Is there a reason why they are not going to be added? It is still Before Big Bang and it will still be nostalgic, heck, might be even more nostalgic with those clases IMO.

Is there a reason why these classes aren't going to be added?

Also, Aran was my favorite class.

Did aran already have combos when it originally came out? For some reason when it came out, I was already starting not to be in love with maplestory as much.

 

MapleStory was amazing when it had only warrior, magician, bowman and thief as classes, it was pure maple, imo.
When they added the pirate class, me and many people we put our hands in the head like, wtfpiratejob????ripmaplestory, etc, etc
But I must admit, even with pirates, I feel a very nostalgic maple. Any other class added post-pirate is not old maple anymore, imo.

 

While I don't really support adding non adventurer classes, knights of Cygnus will always be a more nostalgic than pirates were to me since ems got Cygnus before pirates.

I 100% support this. I think Cygnus would have to be changed slightly because you are able to get speed infusion before 120 on a thunder breaker, making buccaneer si mules a waste of time. I know for a fact it won't be added though because of many reasons. The main one being that they aren't nostalgic to some people. It kinda sucks how updates like this will never happen and the game will never progress because of nostalgia.

 

MapleRoyals is a nostalgia maple server. So I don't really understand why you dislike that some people don't want this kind of contect to the game.
When is the main reason of why we're playing on this server, because we like it as it is.

I understand that Royals is a nostalgic server. Arans are nostalgic to a large group of people. Cygnus knights are nostalgic to a large group of people. I'm not saying the server needs to stop being nostalgic. I'm saying that people need to start considering other people's perspective on nostalgia.

 

If v83 is nostalgic to you why not join a v83 server? In telling others not to force their view of nostalgia on you, you're in turn forcing your view of nostalgia on them. For the younger crowd v83 is definitely nostalgic, but not for the older crowd. The great thing about private servers is that we get to pick and choose which one we play.

Personally, when I was looking for a PS I wanted something between v62 and v83 because I wanted to play Magatia (one of my favorite areas), but no such server existed. I decided on v62 (which Royals was at the time) because I did not want much of the v83 content. In joining a server I considered playing with that content and decided against it. Likewise, I was fine with ToT coming out (v77) but against Ulu City (v91). Like you said, Nostalgia is different for everyone, but this servers view of nostalgia does not include classes other than Adventurers; and this is, by definition, a nostalgic server of old school maple.

 

It's already been stated multiple times that we won't be getting either, ever. I don't know why people don't try searching the answer first.
