yeah, Summon Dragon is important to put 15/30 and only as optional if you want to max it and Doom is just a "fun" skills and nothing you need. all other skills should be maxed. i would say that we could make more then 1 build, as some will be solo-priests but some will be party-priests and that will make the build completely different. its also important that you need to be 100% sure if you have a party to depend on, just be in one party here and there dont work, to level well you need people you play with daily. a party build is of course all about HS and Mystic Door and i dont agree that 1 SP on Door is enough. if you are a solo-priest, then HS again, even solo you get +10% exp, but dont spend points on Ele&Door, as fast possible you need Shining Ray. so my priority if party: HS, Door, Ele, Shining, Dispel, 15 dragon, any if solo: HS, Shining, Ele, Door, Dispel, 15 dragon, any
Doom is the only way to guide our low HP friends through high attack monsters. There I found a usefulness for the skill ^^
Oldie, yeah you right, Doom can be useful, but not essential, same with Dragon. that is why a build should have "any/leftovers", meaning that after the important skills you have a choice what you want with the leftover SP. im with you that maxing Dragon is not "important" as some of us will never use it, but im sure some will. i also think that Doom>Dragon. like you say, if we need to open a path, Doom can be useful.
Why would you give up extra, free damage for a skill that's completely useless? Why guide when you can door or toss them a return scroll...?
Can i max magic armor by not adding the 11 points from holy arrow and sacrificing points from summon dragon, thus having summon dragon at lv 21 only? I feel like you might need more weapon def with limited amount of armor you get to get more dmg with int here. I am gonna get bahamut later anyway which you cant summon with summon dragon sinultaneously right
as i wrote in a previous post, you can put SP on magic armor. i have done that. i have dragon set to 15 so that i can use bahamut later.
No, you won't. Weapon Defense does next to nothing near the end game. I don't even bother casting it when grinding. You can only summon either Bahamut or Dragon.
don't listen to people that dont use it. in my build i use Magic Armor, its quite good in early levels when you "solo". of course when you get higher up in levels it will not be important anymore. who uses magic claw when they have genesis? so is this skill. a "solo" build when you use (Heal, Invincible and Magic Armor) (while Magic Guard if not active) when you train. if you are a "party" cleric/priest, then magic armor is not that important because you will mainly use Bless.
its the active skills while training, not a build. of course in the build magic guard is important. but i thought it was obvious when we are talking about leftover skill points............. hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
If you will not use any of the skills just put the SP anywhere, you will not use it anyway. As a cleric I never used and never will use holy arrow. The skill is level 1(just so I can have fun if I want) and I maxed magic armor( its kinda useless when you're high level but whatever, I dont even bother casting anymore). Magic recovery is also something less useless than Doom and Holy Dragon, hell, atlest you are recovering some MP, even if its +1 per SP. tl;dr Don't bother with this things because it will not make significant difference, just put whatever you want and if you want to go full optimal put in what you think is less terrible.
Some options: 1. Ghost Ship 2 - Quite crowded but duoing here is good using HS. 2. Wolf Spider Cavern - Here it will be hard to find a party because you don't have max HS yet but its probaly the best XP. 3. Sophias Bedroom(Voodods) - Great XP solo + money from the drops. The map is small but you can take care of all the voodoos before they respawn again.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've gone and tried a few of your suggestions...Just gonna give my opinion and rough estimates on em. Wolf Spider Cavern - So far 5 attempts here, all 5 times, out of the 12 channels there's only 1 channel which has more than 1 attackers AND that need HS....maybe I'm just very unlucky. Only time exp was higher than @GS2 was when I found an Archmage training here. Double the exp of GS2 that time. Sophias Bedroom(Voodoo) - Almost half the exp of GS2. Higher meso rate tho. 4 heartstoppers per 5 min. GS2 - I've been grinding here form 72 - 82. Just would like a change of scene if possible.
Yup zak helm doesn't do anything for me...it doesn't have magic def. At least 200 more hp to survive death teddy, so should I burn through thousands of mana pot to farm here (with magic guard on) ? Or any more suggestions for Lv82 priest to farm? Or should I just suck it up and grind another 10 levels at GS2 and move on to himes?
HS is important, with that you can party with someone. 80-85 you can HS wolf spider, 85-90, ulu1, 90-95, ulu2 and so on. the level you are in are in between. so you can still go to gs2/6 and do the "easy" way or go to stronger enemy (such as Master Death Teddies) where you need guard or party with someone and HS. of course theres quests you can do, it takes longer but will make a nice diversion from the usual grinding. another alternative is to "grow up" another alternative character. even if it takes longer you have 2 character you can play, later it will be essential if you dont have a good team.
