Client deletes itself!

Hello guys!

After many unsuccesful desperate attempts to download the client through any of my browsers, I decided to download it with my phone. Now that worked, except my computer automatically deletes the MapleRoyals.exe even though I have no antivirus and I disabled my firewall. It also automatically deletes the file when I use the installer.

Any idea what might cause this?

That's physically not possible.
You have a program deleting it.

 

I have no anti virus and I turned firewall off.
When I try to copy the client from my phone to the MapleRoyals folder I get an error that simply says "acces denied". Any idea what the cause might be?

 

You need admin permissions, search on google

 

Do you use Windows 8? i had problems on my laptop running mapleroyals because of windows defender. My .exe file got deleted too after i restarted my pc

 

If you are using google chrome just go into Settings > Advanced tab > Uncheck protect me against dangerous websites
After that you can download it, if it still gets deleted you have some antivirus doing that.

 

Client issue fixed. Windows update fixed it. But now I have another issue. Failed to find a proper screen mode for Gr2D. I have already looked through the forum and google. Running Setup didn't help, as it says I don't have directX 8.1 or above even though I have directX 11. My video card driver is up to date and I'm not using a VM. Is there a known fix for this? I tried every single compatability setting aswell.

 

There are others who had that error I think it would be easier if you looked through the threads.

Like I stated, I have already done that, issue still persists.

Edit: I'm upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, see if that will help. If not, I will try running from a VM. Really excited to play. Cheers!

 

I'm not sure how you solved the issue but my client keeps getting deleted as well. I know it's windows defender that's doing it but I don't know how to stop it. I turned off the protection and I've tried to go into the program but there's literally no settings or options I can click to edit anything. Does anyone know how to stop windows defender?

looks like this is still an issue, this is exactly what is happening to me..

 

It would still be an issue because you have not disabled whatever antivirus you use correctly.

 

i actually have the same problem how do i stop it from getting deleted?
