This happens to me probably about every 10 times I change channels. Half the time it kicks me out to the login page, and half the time the game fully quits to my desktop.

I never thought it was a big enough deal to report and I figured it happened to everyone.

Hope you don't mind, I've taken the liberty of adding a poll to this bug report so we can get an idea of how common the problem is.

Also, I'd be interested to know a couple of things:

    1) When did this D/c-ing start, or has it been a problem all along?

    2) What Operating System do you use? I know there has been a recent D/c problem at Zakum for Mac users, so it would be interesting to know if this is also mainly a problem for Mac users.

Thanks to all who have voted on this poll so far, and please take a moment to vote on it if you haven't already, then we can get a better idea of the extent of the problem. Any further detailed information would also be welcome.

I'm basically using the same and I have never disconnected like this. Ensure you have MapleRoyals.exe set as an exception in your virus protection & firewall. It may have something to do with how the client changes ports when changing channels. (fyi: I do not use virus protection)

Can the people who D/C regularly (Kylepotato, Nerikkkk, rawr11). Please try to disable your anti-virus and firewalls and let me know if it helps. (Or create exceptions, if you know how to).

That doesn't make sense at all. With no restrictions you should be able to do absolutely anything. This leads me to think even more that you have a strange firewall/virus protection set-up, and that the disconnects are due to that...

Just a thought - how about posting in Technical Help with the details of which firewall and which anti-virus you're using and explaining that you're having a lot of trouble with dc-ing. That way, people who use the same av or firewall as you can hopefully give you hints and tips on how to configure your av and firewall. And if it's not that, well, back to the drawing board, I guess...
