Fixed Killed Manon. Nothing drops.. Wasted 4 hours of my life

So i killed Manon hoping to get Manon's cry for my Genesis quest and he will not drop the item. I've literally wasted 4 hours trying to kill him and get it but everytime he literally drops nothing. Not even Mesos. Is there anyway i can get reimbursed the item for the time ive lost trying to get it. I feel i've more than earned it.

 

I doubt you'll get a refund... I'm 99% certain the problem is the glitched quest bug, where items stop dropping when you have a glitched quest on. If you'd have read the yellow, scrolling text in-game, you would know that you should forfeit all quests (except the one you need the item for, of course), relog and try again. I'm assuming you didn't, which would be your own ignorance, and it's therefore your own mistake.

Now you know for the next time this happens and won't waste time.

Don't worry, I've wasted time, too, on the same thing. Then, too, I got nothing. It happens to the best of us. xD

Ok so ive found that its impossible to get the item from Manon. There has to be a solution. I've forfeited all my quest, relogged and restarted the quest. Because i need the quest in order to get the item. and it just makes it where the mobs drop nothing. Therefore i cant get the drop unless a gm helps me.

The only advice I can give you is to attempt to kill Manon straight after a Server Check. This is a known aspect of the utterly frustrating Quest Bug and one that I believe also happens a lot with the Papulatus pre-quests. In both cases, the quest works fine right after a Server Check and then begins to bug again, for reasons we are currently unable to fathom.

 

You are in Synergy, how hard can it be for you to get someone to prekill it?

 

That won't solve the problem of the quest bug, though, Saki.

 

MC is not a 100% drop and I suspect switching from a glitched character without closing maple, if the player is in a party with a glitched player at the time of the kill, or had the Manon prekilled by a glitched player it will have the same effect - no drops. If all fails just close maple and try again a few hours later.

 

Server is restarting in 20 min. Take your chance!

 

Happens to me too,
i wait for a SC and after that i can do the quest of Papulatus normal !!

Be pacience...
