I prefer post-BigBang MapleStory usually, however the huge p2w and obnoxious potential system ruins it for me completely so I'm trying this out to see what I think. I'm a magician, unsure if I'll go I/L Wizard or Cleric (I want to PQ often but not boss much, is I/L viable there?) and kinda confused about how some of the server works. Basically I need to look into how map ownership works, but that's simple enough to find in the forums somewhere I assume.
Mages are more for grinding, leeching and farming. Map owner gives ownership to someone who has attacked the map in the last three minutes. If you haven't attacked in the last three minutes, anyone else can claim ownership.
Oh, I see now. I made my magician a bit ago but can't find a spot to fight slimes that isn't currently owned by someone according to ~mapowner. But some of them may be afk or haven't even attacked in the last 3 minutes? I'm unsure what's proper etiquette with this system. Should I try a map and just smack something and see if the ownership changes to me or if someone shows up to ask me to cc?
Thank you for the information. Are clerics wanted for PQs even though from what I've read everyone and their mother plays a cleric?
