So do you guys think OPQ is gonna be more popular than LMPQ now? It seems like LMPQ got nerfed with how much exp it gives out now.

    I personally loved opq.

I predict that people will try it out for a little while and then forget about it because it's not optimal in terms of exp/hour.

Now that LMPQ doesn't give terrific exp, and OPQ and grinding are the only alternatives, most people will go grind instead. From what I've seen here, the prevailing mentality seems to be "what is best in terms of min/maxing" and optimal setups--a mindset more suited to speedrunning if you ask me, but it exists here quite popularly nonetheless. And when it comes to the level 51-70 level range, grinding is simply easier, better experience, and better mesos than OPQ ever will be.

Personally, I loved OPQ. It had great music, took place in one of my favorite Maple settings, and had tons of diverse stages which deviated quite a bit from simple "kill monster or break boxes," something which LPQ failed to do. While KPQ is a repetitive guessing game, while LPQ has very vanilla settings and objectives (even if the music is quite good), while LMPQ is a simple bum rush, and while PPQ is a repetitive game of "kill all monsters," OPQ has jump quests, requires team effort reminiscent of Pikmin, incorporates a bonus quest, and overall is anything but repetitive.

But it was never great exp or mesos, once nexon patched the smuggle glitch. Once that happened, the PQ died. Nobody played OPQ for fun back then, and nobody will here. The only incentive to do OPQ here is for fun, and from what I've seen, that's one of the last things on people's minds. The primary goal for most people I've seen here is get to 4th job and then kill bosses ad nauseum.

OPQ is a lot like GPQ: both are more complex and difficult than every other PQ, but both are extremely unrewarding. Predictably, very few people do GPQ on this server from what I've seen. And similarly, very few people will do OPQ as well.

There's also the obvious aspect of having to interact with and cooperate with other people on this server, and it's probably for that reason that I've personally strayed away from PQs here. I have not had good experiences with anybody in any PQ or boss setting and I doubt that will change.

Gonna correct you there, alot of guilds do GPQ, and GPQ can be pretty rewarding with drops like Black Sack and Chain Lightning 30, both of which sells over 50mil, as well as overall int 60% and many scrolls.

How do you know it's not optimal in terms of exp/hour?
We have made quite some changes to both the LMPQ and OPQ exp rewards, thus for some jobs (bandits, snipers, assassins, etc) it's probably worth doing the PQ since they have bad to no mobbing skills to grind with.

My statements were running under the assumption that experience rates were not changed from what was in GMS (aside from the whole 4x of course). If the experience rates had been tweaked, however, I could be wrong.

Thanks; I didn't know that. I stand corrected.
