Okay so, the last time I played Maple Story was back in 2005 I think? I don't really remember. I played it for like 2 days and haven't touched it since.. So, it's safe to assume that I'm a complete total noob, and have no clue what I'm doing o_o. If anyone could help me, that's be amazing. c: My class prefrence isn't totally weird at all, I don't mind being overpowered and I don't mind being under-powered.. As long as that underpowered-ness changes c: I'm thinking of going I/L Witch, but at the same time, I love being an Archer (Anything with bows c But, on the creation screen, there's a dice that's rolling my stats and I have 0 clue what I'm trying to get. lmao.
You don't need to worry about the dice, since you will always start with 4 on str, dex, int, and luk. There's also a Guides section on this forums where the MapleRoyals community had contributed to help people get started. https://royals.ms/forum/forums/guides.57/ Feel free to add me, Pridefui, and I will be glad to help you get started.
Oh thank god.. I found a Guide on Google and was flipping that Dice to try and get 4/4/13/4. Eyes were starting to burn. c: PS: The I/L Guide on these forums has no stat build associated with it. Is it safe to just dump all of my stat points into Int?
Yep just go pure int! You'll be using maple wands/staffs and elemental wands for the rest of your maple career as an I/L mage
@Plenty's guide should be all the help you need https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ice-lightning-mage-guide.18154/
Thanks bb c: Maple story is a grinding game, right..? A dozen or so quests but the way to level = grind? PS: these forum emotes are adorable as fuck..
If you're trying to lvl up quicker, you can try doing pqs. Lvl 21~30: kpq Lvl 31~51: Lpq Lvl 52~71: Lmpq or Opq (Whichever you prefer) From lvl 71 and on, you'll mostly likely have to train on your own or get leeched. P.S: You should be able to find the training spots once you reach 71+ under the guides section.
The most efficient way to train your first character, and as a mage, is to grind, and most of the efficient training spots are listed in the very same guide! However if you're not too particular about the speed of your training, just do the quests you like and enjoy the process haha
Correct me if i'm wrong but as far as i know you don't start with 4/4/4/4 on your stats, even though when in character selection it shows that the lv1 beginner you just created ahs those stats (later on in-game it will show the stats you rolled). Isn't one of the features of MapleRoyals is to have a working dice so people get the nostalgia feels?
