Is HP washing really that important? *For those who have dilemma whether to do it or not*

Is HP washing really that important?
I am posting this because I am also in a dilemma to whether do it or not. I hope this thread can help and give advise to the all the players in the server.

Dilemma 1 : I heard that HP washing is made entirely for HT aka Horntail, is it true?
Dilemma 2 : If you do not plan to take on HT, it is okay not to wash your character, is it true?
Dilemma 3 : HP washing gives benefit to tank more than one hit from a few bosses (Zakum,Anego/Lady Boss) but avoid touching Zakum or being gunshot by Anego, it is totally fine to not wash your HP as you are still able to fight them later on, is it true?

 

HP washing isn't really necessary but it is recommended depending on your class. The main reason people HP wash is to do HT as early as the minimum level, 155. If you don't plan on doing HT at 155, I'd say it's not something to worry about then. HP washing is definitely beneficial and increases your survivability rate for bosses, but once again it isn't necessary. And yes, you can fight them later on without washing, you just need to make sure you have a DrK to HB you. If you want to HT at 155 and you don't want to HP wash, these are some classes to take into consideration: hero, bucc, pally, shadower, and all mages (although it's mostly bishops that boss). If you choose a class other than the ones listed, I would recommend HP washing highly.

 

Right now I have around 6400 hp at lvl 168 (washed maybe 60-70 times or so) and I don't really have much problems in bosses
(you need hb in ht but just for the leg/tail and hb in black crow which gives bad exp anyway). Getting 9k hp won't help you much except being able to do ht without hb or tanking 2 hits from high lvl mobs (like the oblivion mobs in the temple of time).
I'd still recommend to do some washes so you can tank bosses like pianus, pap, anego (gun). It also helps you survive 2/3 hits from mobs when training (not high lvl tot mobs but mobs like petris or himes) and from bosses like zakum or krexel. Surviving 2 hits makes it much less stressful and you can chat during training/bosses without dying.

 

I didnt wash my NL and it doesn't bother me . Made up for that in equips with money saved. I dont like bossing anyways, even Zak takes 20+ minutes. Nty.

Conclusion of this discussion:
- HP Washing is just for HT, Pink Bean or any future bosses(if there are) and to be able to tank more than one or two hits from some bosses, for example Zakum, Anego/Lady Boss and Bigfoot.
- It is totally fine to not wash Hp and continue playing because you are still going to be able to take on HT/Pink Bean at a later stage when you are high level enough and provided you have a DK to HB you.
- Enjoy maple and drop the dilemma.

Since we don't have Pink Bean and if we ever get it, you should probably be 190+ and top 30 attackers, you would also need roughly 11.5k HP as a ranged class and then you would need HB to survive.
You will not be able to do Pink Bean without a large amount of HP washing which costs a few billions at least.
Pink Bean is the toughest boss we will ever see, it's to the point where people doubt it can even be done.

HT can be done with little to no hp washing, I say little just to be on the safe side.


You don't have to wash, you can do all current content with no hp washing, no need to worry about it and if your goal is to be able to do Pink Bean you have a lot to do.

 

It's completely necessary and the majority of the Royals community will look down upon you if you don't wash.

Why do heros not have to wash, but a lot (almost all) friends who play as a hero HP wash?

 

Heroes have a lot of natural hp, with their additional skill Power Guard, it gives them an advantage at not needing a huge amount of hp. I guess most people still HP washes Hero probably because it makes bossing more comfortable and they might also be planning ahead for Pink Bean in the future. However, as of now, we don't even know when or if Pink Bean will ever be added. I would say Heroes do not have to wash. I only washed a little bit because I messed up my MaxHP in the early levels and I do it at the same time as washing out my dex. I am a Hero at level 174 and I only have 12k hp ( which is not a lot compared to most Heroes on the server ). All you really need to do when you go for zakum/HT is to be a bit more careful. I usually survive HT, so it's completely fine to not HP wash.

Main reason why I washed is because my pet's unreliable and I forget Power Guard more than I like to admit and having the comfort of extra HP makes boss runs a lot less nervy for me. 30k(eventually ) is a nice number as well if you're a perfectionist like me.

 

For their version a lot of things are pay2win, here NX is free so Pink Bean would not be pay2win here.

 

It is not necessary. If you want to do it at level 155, then yeah maybe. But even so you should be able to run with HB and if not, just wait a few more levels. Another reason why heroes wash is because it's cost efficient. They're one of the cheapest to wash because you get about 52~ health per reset. So for people who want the 30k hp, it's easiest to do on a hero. Also, I've never seen anyone looked down on for not washing. Maybe a joke here or there, but not seriously. @Lyrium is one of those who barely washed and he still runs HT just fine. He gets made fun of just because who he is, not cuz he didn't wash :^)
