Imagine this: you are chilling around with 2 of your friends, you only talk to eachother using bad language, but you understand and take it as a joke, then some ass reports you for using bad words and you get banned. SMH

Because the people running this server have bought into the myth that words have these magical powers that they don't actually have. And because there are crybullies here who take full advantage of that fact. It's all in the terms of service though, so the best approach is to just not say anything at all, such that there'll be no risk whatsoever of being banned.

have you ever heard of ''maplestory, it's your story'' well my story has fuck in it. If i say to my bestfriend: ''get laid you '' i don't see any reason why would a random person ban someone for not actually telling it to him/her.

    Jack: Get laid you ..
    Dean: shut up you bitch
    random player: bans both

    :D?

Then you can talk to your friends in buddy, guild, messenger, or even party chat. Not like you can't, just keep it out of public. You don't go around screaming profanities irl (if you do, you can get flagged for public indecency) Same concept. So honestly, if it's between you guys, then keep it that way. I don't see what the big deal is.

Yes, you can get banned if you do it excessively here in MapleRoyals. Just use common sense mate, that's all that is being asked. If you think what you are going to say could cause an issue, just don't say it.

If Benizakura SS this and files a report abuse claim, then Friend would likely end up being banned for their language. If some random person that happens to be in the map SS it and reports it, we wouldn't take action as it wasn't even directed at them. They're reporting for the sake of reporting.

This community would full of kids using racial and homophobic slurs. Be filled to the brim of hackers, botters and duped items. If none of that bothers you go back to regular GMS.

This community would be better if people werent complete touch holes every single waking minute they were on here. We're all here for nostalgia. We're all here to have fun. Why come on here to be an edgelord? Its not hard. If you cant be a normal human being, treating players and Staff with respect go find another server to play on.

    No staff? No thank you.

Read what i wrote up there again. This whole thread is not about hacking and botting. I started maplestory 2005 and i have never ever been banned. Maplestory is a roleplay game, and some players choose to live that lifestyle with swearing and dissing each other. GM does a good job with other things like ban hackers, botters, etc.

I wasnt referring to your comment directly. I was referring to the guy who thinks no staff interference is somehow an ideal situation.

However, all they ask you is if you wish to talk shit and swear do it in a chat that isnt all chat. Some players dont wanna see that stuff on their screen filling it up with obscenities. I can understand, having played video games a long time. Seeing different people swearing, using obscene words every single day for years on end gets real old real fast. Sometimes we just dont wanna see that garbage for a while.

This server would be a better place if staff members would actually loosen up some rules.

The guy up there understood the situation but you clearly didn't. We are talking here about chatting and socializing with other players, nobody said anything about hacks.

Is it really that hard to keep your personal conversations that involve vulgarities to be kept in any other chat besides out in the open for other players to have to read?

No, you pointed a finger at the person who reported you, who happens to share the same distaste for your actions as many of the rest of the community does. So no, while not directly aimed at me personally, you pointed a finger at someone who shares a similar distaste for people who wanna use offensive language out in the open and attacked them. So I'm here to stand up for those of us who dont care to see that garbage all over our screens on a daily basis.

I used to talk to my friends like you, but it got real old after years of doing the same thing. It just gets real old calling friends names, using certain phrases and vulgarities to describe stuff. I just kind of grew up and stopped. I have actual normal people conversations now without that stuff. I dont think im alone amongst the community.

Wouldn't it be funny if i was hanging out in freemarket with 3 of my friends and nobody wouldn't talk, instead we watch at the screen and swear at each others while we use whisper and buddy chat.. And besides i only report people who are not my friends and actually has a bad influence when they swear at me.

Even in real life: You can't say shit to someone if you don't know the person or / if you are not friends with him/her
