I think people being allowed to post their salt without a 24 hour cooldown is pretty unfair.

 

In my sincere opinion, but perhaps a little harsh, I feel it's unfair that edgelords like you cannot be banned sooner.

As i started the thread, i suggest people should get less banned for bad language in game... I mean if you talk random crap with your friend, and your friend bans you, boom you are banned. Of course I'm going to abide by the rules, but that's not going to prevent me from pointing out the silliness of one certain one which has been discussed lately.

Offense is taken--not given. It's absurd that anyone can be banned simply by simply saying something. Words don't have any innate power to them. Call me a chink, a tranny, a jap, a spic, a kike (by the way, why aren't those words banned, and only one racially charged word is?), an idiot, a sex-crazed maniac, a loon, a weaboo, a manchild, a cuck, a crackpot, an ape, or any number of things and I'll just shrug it off. Sure, a portion of those insults may be accurate, but I don't care what people say or think about me. Who cares if some asshole on the internet doesn't like you?

It's if any of that malicious intent translates to actual action that I'd say merits GM intervention. Call me an idiot and say "you suck" and I'm fine with that. Start kill-stealing me and I'm not so fine with that anymore. But guess what? We already have rules against kill-stealing, scamming, and other such actions which actually harm people, so that should be all we need. Unless, of course, you've bought into the myth that words have these magical powers that they don't actually have.

And for the record, I know gay people who are completely fine with a certain word that rhymes with "maggot," and I have black coworkers who call each other a certain word which rhymes with "trigger" on a daily basis. The ironic truth is that almost all of the time, it's upper/middle-class white millennials who are getting offended on behalf of gays/minorities for words which gays/minorities don't actually find offensive.

 

to be honest, you dont have any clue what you are talking about... People are not like you and people think and feel differently, some take it personally and can't control it. You are basically saying that everyone can call eachothers with names and not get banned just simply because we don't care? Think about it dude, you clearly live a life with no regrets, but guess what, some people get medicated to feel okay and its not even helping.

Imagine you get married some day, and you and your wife decide to have kids, later in the teenage years,your kid becomes lesbian, and people start using a slang called nesbian or maggot? you think your kid wouldn't understand it? Maybe some people take people's bullsh*t personally
