Notice User Requested Ban Length Restrictions

Effective immediately, all user requested bans can only be requested for a maximum term of six months. After six months, if the user would like to remain banned, they can post another request to be banned for yet another six months.

For all users who requested bans lasting more than six months (such as requests for permanent bans), they can post a ban appeal and be unbanned and continue playing immediately.

NOTE: This is not available for a user who, in an attempt to remain permanently banned, purposely violated a server rule.

Why would someone request to be banned I don't get it?

 

Normally people have exams to study for and can't drag themselves away from MapleRoyals. They request the ban to stop the distraction.

 

Because rappers need a criminal record to rap about their past

 

What if the ban was for exactly 6months?

 

Like it says: For all users who requested bans lasting more than six months.

 

So if i banned myself for 6months and 1 day i could unban myself, but because i banned myself for exactly 6months i cannot?

 

Correct. The line has to be drawn somewhere.
