One should consider the roles of Thieves and Bowmen. Night Lords, Shadowers and Bowmasters (and Bowmistresses) all have amazing bossing capabilities, whereas other jobs lack these skills, making those jobs valuable end-game characters.

    Just to give some examples:

    Night Lords have CRAZY DPS with Triple Throw and Shadow Partner. Level 20 Triple Throw = 3x 140% + 3x 126% Damage = 798% Damage. Considering the TT delay is 667ms, which is 1.5x TT per second: 798% x 1.5 = 1197% Damage PER SECOND without considering Critical Strikes; including Critical Strikes, which make up 50% of your attacks, each dealing 200% damage: (0.5 x 1197% x 2) + (0.5 x 1197%) = 1.5 x 1197% = 1796% DPS on average.

Bowmasters' Hurricane attacks every 120ms, with 100% damage per hit at Level 30. This means 8.33 attacks per second, so: 100% x 8.33 = 833% damage per second. This doesn't even include Sharp Eyes, which increases your damage by 40% and also adds to Critical Strike Chance to 55% base. Calculating this, you would come to this: 833% x 1.4 = 1167%. Your Critical Strikes make up 55% of the attacks, each dealing 200% damage, so: (0.55 x 1167% x 2) + (0.45 x 1167%) = 1751% DPS on average.

And Shadowers... I don't know the Meso Explosion maths and it's also dependant on how fast and how much you drop, but you deal quite a lot of damage, regardless of your level.

This is compensated for the relatively high cost and, of course, the time it takes to get to such a high level. So I'd say it's all justified due to their high damage late-game. But, to be totally honest, it doesn't take much longer; I myself have a Level 6x Cleric and leveling takes only a little less time, nothing significant IMO.

I'd take leveling a bowman to 3rd any day over leveling an xbow :p. I see hunters complaining about training spots whilst stunning everything (and having a mob skill that works on most maps!) and just smile to myself. That being said, if all you want to do is achieve a high level really fast, why not play a high rate server?

Exactly. If you want a high level fast you are definitely in the wrong place!
    - This is a low rate server
    - This is an early version server

Bowmen classes, slingers and sins are magikarps, waiting to achieve their true and final form after a long and painful journey where they can crush anything and anyone.

Honestly, as a sin I went to Drakes, (DRAKES) in Ant Tunnel, and they were pretty good exp. If you think GS2 is bad, even with your horizontal attacks and whatnot, I'm afraid I can't support you. That's just called being impatient.

Yo, my suggestion has two parts:
    1) Stop forgetting about gunslingers/outlaws. They are the worst off of the entire bunch.

    2) Suck it up. Jesus Christ, since when did people join a v62 server and expect to be able to train at chimney. Just because other spots are hard doesn't mean you're entitled to new maps being added in. I stayed at voodoos until level 80, and I'm not some super hardcore grinder.

Although the fact that the staff is so vehemently against adding this does beg the question, what in the hell is the logic behind adding ToT and Ulu City?

I cant believe the person suggested Chimney in the first place. Its a v62 server, its not sussposed to be easy. You can make it through at gs2 and ws just fine. A suggestion for chimney is fucking ridiculous.

I just don't want it like GMS. You couldn't even train there anyways. Bishops just sat there on every channel and gened the entire map leeching thier chars.

    I vote No.

My own personal opinion, which does not necessarily reflect the views of the staff as a whole, is that I support ToT (in particular) as more endgame content would be very welcome.

Closing this thread now, at the request of the TS.
