Oh god, I wanted to see this movie, then for some reason I forgot it existed so never got around to it. Thanks for reminding me! Fun movie
300: Rise of an Empire (2014) Pretty much only the first battle scene was good, it would've been perfect if the blood looked better though. The rest of the movie was utter crap. Bad story, bad acting, shitty directing. Basically it tried to do what 300 did except a notch higher only to end up doing too much of everything. Zack Snyder plz don't let this fool direct a sequel on another one of your movies ever again.
i just watched Room last night, it was really good. great emotional story and amazing acting. jacob tremblay is a cutie patootie
I'm a regular movie-goer (and my roommate is a huge movie buff), but I think my last one was Batman vs. Superman. Spoiler The entire movie was based off the idea, "What if Superman decided he hated people and could destroy the world? What if people started seeing him as some sort of god? We would need to be able to protect ourselves." Cool idea, I think that's a strong hook, but there was no real follow up--like, there was no reasoning behind why he was suddenly public enemy. I don't know, I just feel as though they had a good plot but poor execution. All of the characters were immensely under developed. No personality, no driving force, just there. However, I give this movie a solid C. Why? Explosions, fighting, makeup and costume, HQ imagery. Beautiful movie with great special effects and choreography.
What do you mean there was no reasoning behind why he was suddenly a public enemy? Did you not see him and the other Kryptonians destroy large parts of Metropolis in Man of Steel? Other than that I agree. There characters needed more depth. I pray to God they get Wonder Woman right in her solo movie. On-topic: rewatched Wayne's World yet again. That movie does not get old.
I actually didn't see Man Of Steel! But I also didn't think that the movie was referencing any of the past or a continuation. From watching this one without seeing the other one, I think they were all concerned with 'what if?' Which is a reasonable reaction to someone so powerful. But throughout this movie, Superman actually -didn't- do anything wrong.
The part where Batman runs into the cloud of dust, that's a flashback to when Superman was fighting Zod in MoS. This movie is def a follow-up. Though the 'what if?' question also plays a big part, you're right.
