Hi, so I reached level 9(only one overlevel) and I spoke to Grendel to become a magician, but when I became a magician, I only got 1 Skill Point? If I remember correctly it gives you 4 points for advancing? Am I missing something? When I continue leveling up I receive 3 SP like normal. Please help, thanks.
I'm pretty sure that all classes give 1 SP at each job advancement. You would not have received the 3 SP from accidentally overlevelling which is why at the beginning of the game Sera tells you to make sure you do not overlevel.
It's kinda hard not to overlevel with 4x EXP, but if every job advancement only gives you 1 SP(including 1st) do you mean 3 with 1 addition OR only 1(I remember it's 3 with one addition)? If it's only 1 then I think there's no problem here(I probably mistook it for GMS), but not getting missed SP for overleveling is a bit hard(but it's developers' choice). It is 3sp per lvl. You get 1 upon adv. Lvl to become magician is 8. He lost 3sp from advancing at lvl 9, juat like me.
You made a good point, I'll try to create a new character and try to advance exactly at level 8, until I reply back the result you can leave this thread for now, if I don't reply back(to prevent bumping this thread up) it means Kristian is right and you can forget about this thread or lock it(but please give me 2 days from today because I can be busy tomorrow). It's because you advanced at level 9 which means you overleveled one level (3 SP). Job Advancement gives you 1 SP.
