Born SINner

First off, just wanted to say thanks to Detox for holding this giveaway, it's people like you that have a positive impact on the MapleRoyals community. Here is my submission...

This is the story of a born SINner….

PT I

The year was 2006. I had been introduced to GMS by my close friend at the time, he was a bowman and I had no idea what job i would pick, so I browsed through the website reading the job descriptions and the story of the thief intrigued me instantly. Having no prior knowledge to the game, I made my first character, a complete noob at its finest. Thought it was a good idea to equally raise my stats accordingly, 25 dex, 17 int, 30 luk, 32 str for that extra damage right?! Haha, anyways I finally caught on that I was clearly doing something wrong and made a new character. His name was fly1ngchimp. Once again, I chose the path of the thief, and made my first 2nd job advancement as an assassin. It was amazing feeling. I was a regular-dex sin and I had little to no funding (had like 2 sets of tobis and 1 set of steelies, (and of course a couple sets of ICIES--gangster.) but still had so much fun... I was constantly envious of all these low dex and dexless sins in the game and was so curious so I explored some guides on basil market. They all clearly stated that dexless and low dex sins were some of the most powerful characters in the game, but required mass amounts of funding…. the prices at the time were just too high for everything, especially throwing stars….Steely's: 14m, ilbi's:36m….it was ridiculous. It was at this moment that I had realized that I was not suitable for this maple world, and I quit GMS. I felt incomplete and broken.

PT II

The year was 2010(?)

And I had heard that GMS had some huge updates, with the addition of some new classes (CKs and DBs) I had watched some videos of DBs and wow I was impressed, some of the coolest looking/funnest characters I had seen. Seeking something different from the hundreds of thousands of sins in the server, I made a DB, my first character unable to attack from range…it was fun for awhile but GMS at this point was just stupid to me…WAY too easy for certain characters to level, and the fact that you NEEDED NX for certain DB skills was just so stupid….again I left GMS in disappointment and despair.


PT III

The year was 2014. I had begun my first year of college and was excited to learn, however I seeked an external source of excitement in my life, I had previously just sold my xbox and as a true lover of video games I NEEDED to play something. My old friend told me that he started playing a Private Maple Story Server….which i thought were highly frowned upon. He described it to me as a Nostalgic server V.062, where all the BS from the current version of maple story did not apply…consisting of only the most OG, most badass jobs: Mage, Thief, Warrior, Bowman Pirate. The Fab 5. Instead of like 50(?) different classes that they have now in GMS. I fell in love at the thought of it. I could live my dreams of making an elite character with a fresh, new, friendly community. On top of that; free 8k NX every 24 hours? Wow. Seemed too good to be true. At first I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to play Maple because I was on a Mac, and didn't have enough memory to run something like Parallel Desktop or Bootcamp, but fortunately for me, MapleRoyals had a MAC CLIENT ! I was so excited to download and install MapleRoyals and re-new a unique experience and bond with some of my friends that was gone for so long. There was no question what kind of character I was going to make: The infamous Dexless Sin. The damage wh0re. The KS King. The hermit, the NIGHT LORD. I was a born SINner from the beginning. I love everything about sins, I am addicted to haste, seeing those beautiful pink crit numbers, spamming L7 with SP, and flash jumping everywhere around the map. Its just too much fun….and mapleroyals has given me the opportunity to make the character I've always wanted, and I will not stop.

Detox, I believe I deserve to win this giveaway, due to the fact that I am a faithful sin, and these equips will truly help me fufill my dreams of making an awesome character and reaching 4th job (which I have never done). Thank you to anybody who took the time to read and can relate to this story.

I'm already pissed of someone like you already. A level 127 Dark Knight? How the hell would you get to this level without good funding? You're already pretty funded yourself, and you still want to get MORE and MORE of your selfishness while much more other nibs ( Newbies c: ) needed the WAY MORE than you do. So I want someone like you to sit the hell down and stop screaming like : 'OMG! GIMME MESOS!'. I don't care if you're joking or not. You disgust me.

I wouldn't pick someone who's already funded and just wants to sell the equips. Leave the judgement to me and let people say what they want to say.

 

holy fucking shit, whats your problem? how do you get to that level without funding, grinding of course, you can grind anywhere and loot the mob drops and have decent equips along with the scrolls they drop. you dont even know if they're funded or not. your horrible fucking brain makes mine spin. i dont really get mad at people, but your so fucking stupid

Hey, names Liam, which is the same as my IGN, and I'm quite a new addition to this server. My first class, as always, was an assassin (I find the most interest in them) - and currently, I am level 55. You may be wondering why I believe I am a good candidate for this prize.

Well, I am just an ordinary guy, who plays MapleRoyals in his spare time. As with many of the other people here, I am finding it tough to start in this new environment. I believe the giveaway you are presenting MapleRoyals with would give a solid chance for new members of the community to stay in the game and reach those levels thought unreachable before. If I were to win such a prize, I would stay in the community, help those who need help, even possibly hold an event of this caliber - maybe even higher - in the future. I would become recognisable, powerful and overall, grateful. By letting me win this event you would be paving the future of MapleRoyals, creating an opportunity for the youth of the community to become... awesome.
