I would like to suggest an event to be able to obtain the Gold Heart Ring I think the event should be having to collect like 100 Old Rings that drop from any monster. Then return the 100 collected rings to a npc in exchange for the Gold Heart Ring.
The staff decided to offer that ring as a reward for those who rejoined after the server wipe and for their characters to show their age so to speak (think Mark of Beta and how it was distributed in GMS). I see no reason to make this item more common and to take away its value to those who received it in the 3 days it was available post wipe.
Why should they not have any advantages? If we did that it would limit us from giving out any kind of stat items in events. It was simply an event at the beginning of the server after the wipe. Like Anesthetize showed in his quote, I said that there would be similar events in the future. I don't think it should be an event which gives the exact same ring and/or stats however.
It's hardly an advantage... The most useful stat's probably the hp/mp and speed/jump. Edit: But more rings would be nice. As long as they're not too easy to get.

That is why I made sure to make lots of characters when the event was active, even if I didn't know for sure if I would ever use them.
No. I fought pretty hard to make sure the players got some kind of a small compensation for sticking around after the wipe...I don't want to see that effort rendered useless...not to mention that it's supposed to be a bit of a status symbol or bragging rights. If you didn't create enough characters to use in the future if you decided you wanted to roll a different class back when the ring was still available ...then that is your own fault. I personally pre-created all of the character names I *might* want to use in the future and claimed a ring on each one so that I wouldn't run into this issue.
This. I made sure to create 3 different accounts, each account has 1 character with a ring. I only have 2 characters in use currently, but if i ever do decide to make a bowmaster that character will have a ring.

Have any other event with a 1/1/1/1 1/1 ring, nothing too powerfull. But the older players deserves this as a token of time spent here.
Yeah I didn't even know those existed, haha. As somebody that doesn't have one, I don't really think they should be easy to get. It'd take the air out of people's sails who have been here since the wipe a little bit probably…would not be fair to them imo. What if you as a staff did an event like you did with the Gold Rings once(?) a year where people could get a nice token to reward them for their loyalty to the server. It doesn't have to be a game changing item of course, just something to take pride in that you got it during the limited time it was available on Royals, and it probably won't be around in the server again.
How about we dont give any more away. I feel special for having it on my hero, as i still play from pre-wipe.
