Im disappointed with the fact that islanders wont be able to participate in 3rd anniversary event, even if we could in previous. I waited for that one year being hyped when i finally heard that its coming soon, but honestly theres no sense now in islanding without events, cause it makes royals islanding like in any other non supporting islanders server. Only thing we will have left will be rankings.
We've mentioned several times that we had discussed implementing the event for islanders as well but that we hadn't figured out yet how to include islanders properly as this event is not the same as the first anniversary. If the islanders keep showing zero patience towards us the chances will only become lower that we will attempt to include them.
But if all those months/years we had events on island, its understandable that we can be mad at it. As example, it would been my motivation to start playing again. Now i have nothing to do on there.
AKA exactly what happened in MS as well. By playing an Islander, you are shunning yourself from the majority of the server's content. No one is forcing you to remain on the island, it is a choice you made with consequences you chose to accept.
These are the items that most islanders who weren't here for the 1st anniversary want and would be happy with. (Pretty much the only content that they want would be the maple bandanas, umbrella, maple leaf, & maple earrings) Spoiler: items These items have already been implemented on the island so it wouldn't upset any of the other islanders as you mentioned in the other thread that was locked. For suggestions that you asked for in the other thread, well I only see there being two possibilities with an exchange or making the items droppable as the christmas weapons were. (Only two methods used currently, Idk what is possible with code and such if someone else has other suggestions) Otherwise the islanders are just shit out of luck this event and there would be no need to continue with the discussion regarding Islanders in this anniversary event. EDIT: Although GMS didnt directly cater directly towards islanders, they were exactly included in a lot of events/content throughout the years. At this moment in v62 islanders could get maple items from anniversary events since they were droppable, roses, and independence hats. There was also the functioning mts which granted islanders anything they would need.
