Hello, I've played this server for a good week. I have a level 36 fighter (my only character on royals so far) and am attempting to set my character up for hp washing later on. My issue is I'm lacking mesos needed to get my character proper INT items for future hp washing. At level 36 I assume I should be wearing INT items by now for the extra mp per level. Any ideas on what you would do if you were in my position, level 36, low on money, no friends to lend me INT items/assist in getting them. I'm hesitant to level too much as I want to level with the proper INT items first. Should I add some raw AP points into INT? And if I find a way to get points on INT, what's the best amount of INT should I need for a good amount of HP to be successful against those tough bosses? I'm lost guys and could really use the guidance from experienced players.
Hello, friend. As you are a Fighter you won't need to HP/MP wash at all due to how much HP you will naturally have, along with Hyper Body from a Drk that you will most likely party with at later levels. Because of this you should just ignore the whole HP wash thing. However, if you want to hit the cap of 30,000 HP naturally, then you will need to HP wash. If you are 100% dedicated to this you might want to restart your character and put some points into INT as soon as you can (my archer's INT has been at 20 since level 8 or so and he has quite a high amount for his level). Otherwise you can make a priest and level him instead to make some money (Holy Symbol). If you just want to get on with the game just keep going as you are and ignore the HP wash thing. If you need a friend just search for Novalibrium or Gigalibrium in the afternoons and I'll help you out. I am not exactly experienced myself as I have only been playing for a few weeks and just came back from a break, but I know a little about the HP washing stuff so that might be helpful.
First off I want to thank you for taking your time to read and respond! I understand that it's not necessary for fighters to wash, but nearly every other job does and I feel as if I'm in a disadvantage. I also would like to take on those tough bosses that I would assume fighters can't handle without hyper body because I don't want to have to rely on hyper body for my boss fights (Or is it normal for parties to have someone with hyper body? Again I'm new and inexperienced when it comes to late game stuff). I do have +5 INT wand and +5 INT level 42 cape. I plan to try and get 100% INT scrolls for earrings to get another +5. It puts me at 20 INT already (adding the 5 I already have from raw INT). I have a green bandana, but with lack of money I doubt I can get helmet INT scrolls anytime soon. And don't get me started on those overall INT item prices.. But you're suggesting I start over. I guess it's possible, but I would just like a guaranteed plan if I do. I don't want to redo everything and end up in the same position I'm in now. Again thanks for the reply and I hope I get more
If you continue then you will be losing out on a fair amount of MP thant you could gain by starting again with a higher base INT, but if you have some INT items then I would not bother myself. But you're doing better than me with INT items (don't even have any). Kudos to you for that. I would wait until at least 3rd job before starting any HP washing, but you'll need to ask someone who knows more. There is a lot of information on HP washing in the help and guides sections if you haven't yet read them.
I have looked at the guides. Would 30 INT before reaching level 50 be good for future washing? Idk, I may need more opinions on whether I should restart or starting at 30 INT before reaching level 50 is fine.
30 INT is very good by level 50. You can add points into your base int over time if you feel like you need it, and if you don't have any DEX then you can add 40 or so points into it and be fine. Restating isn't something that people will enjoy, especially when getting some levels into second job so I wouldn't do such a thing in your position. If you continue you will be missing out, but not by much at all. Most Fighters wouldn't even bother with HP washing so you'll still have more HP than they would.
Sounds good. I have 50 dex and I don't plan touching it anymore. The rest is in str. With combined armor INT and raw INT I should get 30-40 before level 50 I hope it'll be enough. If you say it's not much I'm missing out when it comes to not restarting then that's good, I really appreciate your help, as you seem to be the only one so far to reply lol. Hopefully we can meet in game. You seem like a friendly and cool guy!
Keep in mind earring 100% gives +1 magic att and no int. If I were you, I'd aim to get a zhelm. That's 14-19 int you'd be getting plus you'll probably need the item later on anyway. Zhelms go for 60m each - on top of that, you have to get golden tooth (30) for the prequests) which are 1,2m-ish each. If you buy these items, you'll invest around 100m. The nice part about it is you will also get 5 eyes of fire by doing Zak pre-quests, which can be sold for around 8m each. I suggest you keep one for later on, but you'll get some of your money back. So that's that. 60mish investment for 14-19 int. I understand getting 100m could be hard but you could sell AP resets scrolls for a few days to be all set.
Yeah I learned the 100% earring thing the next day I posted lol. As for the money portion I ended up buying a lot of INT gear after I sold a shit load of teleport rocks. On top of that a very kind person PM'd me and offered me some much needed INT gear. So in the end I'm at 60INT per level up from level 40+. I ended up putting in 6 raw into INT but the rest of the gear gave me 60 INT(I plan to ap reset the INT off later on). I'm more or less set on the INT gear, but I do plan on getting a Z helm soon though as its stats are definitely worth it. Is it possible for a level 50 to grind golden tooths or will I die and should just buy them?
A level 50 can definitely grind for the golden teeth, probably pretty decent EXP as well. And if you wanted you could sell the regular teeth for a bit of extra mesos or even use the teeth for the Orbis exchange quest to get a little bit of extra EXP.
Sounds good. Great server by the way! The staff do an amazing job at keeping the pre Big Bang content while adding in the new stuff that's actually good and removing the unnecessary or bad things from pre Big Bang. I found this to be the best private server I've played on and that I actually stayed for more than 2 weeks, and I plan to stay for a long time. My siblings and I enjoy this game as it brings us back to when we used to play it, a lot simpler with the classes, familiar map layout (Henesy hunting ground anyone?), and many more content I missed from the old game. Just wanted to let you know your work brings a lot of fun to others. On a side note, can someone explain how z helms are purchasable as I thought they were untradable? If someone could explain the process it'd help a bunch.
You purchase a Zakum Helm by going on a run with the Attackers. First, get all your Zakum prequest done. Make sure you have at least 3300 HP to survive. Then, contact a seller that you're interested in buying a helm. Zak Helms typically go for 50m - 60m. Then all you have to do is go along the run and survive to the end to loot a helm. You should also consider buying Advanced Combo 10 that also drops from Zakum. You're going to need it when you become a Hero. If your computer isn't running Windows XP or Windows 7, you should look up VMware (Parallel if you use a Mac) so you don't disconnect during the Zak run.
Ah, that makes sense. I'll just google the pre quests and what not. What's combo 10, a skill book? What makes it so important? Again thanks a bunch!
Just to add, I just realized that I logged in my 2nd account to respond to most of the replies. I plan to use this account as my main as I used the Russel account because I was having old problems with this one. I just found it funny lol
Advanced Combo 10 is a buff skill Heroes have which gives them more damage. You typically max it after Brandish and is one is the most important skills Heroes have.
