So I was doing KPQ with a bunch of ppl, typical day before lv 30. They're pretty nice people, willing to talk and forgive my constant dc during the quest. Party Leader went off to get new ppl in the party. She came back with a level 29 thief, let's call him KV. Here's the catch, KV only knows how to speak and read Spanish, ALSO this is his first playing Maple. How are we going to tell him which barrel to jump? He didn't even know what the NPC is talking about when asked with questions of how many ticket to collect. First time I saw KV is when I dc'ed for the Nth times and go back online. My party says "KV left." I assumed that some guy previously in our party just left, it happens very often. So we start another round and we all disconnected immediately due to server issues. As we logged back in now in the leaving lobby... .........We saw KV's floating ghost in the KPQ leaving lobby XD Apparently KV died in the PQ and he doesn't know how to get out AND quit the game. So our party have google translate on a separate window, and talked to him in very broken Spanish. We basically have to communicate with jumping on one spot while yelling "click! click!" in Spanish. Telling him which NPC to click to exit. And We yelled "MENU" ">Quit game" to him so he now knows how to quit game. FUN TIME ensued "Drop Yellow! KV!" *KV dropped the Beginners Guide. XD "deje caer amarillo" *He drops the yellow ticket. "Cino! KV!" *KV Jumps on Barrel 5, everybody cheered. The combination was still wrong tho lol. "que?" *We plugged that into google translate to find out what he means, turns out KV doesn't know how many tickets to get for the job question. ....KV's a natural. He got to level 29 in this game not knowing English. I know I probably can't do that myself. I'll just wonder like a headless chicken and never play this game again XD. KV learned pretty quickly, and played a few rounds with us. At the end we become friends and he logged off. That was an amazing experience and I met some amazing people in MapleRoyals.
You and your party went to a lot of effort to try and help KV learn the PQ, I don't think many would have had the patience to cope with that. Great job, it's always nice to see people being helpful towards others
I'm really surprised when all my party went along with this, its mostly our leader who thought of google translate. At the end we had fun, I'm really lucky to have met people this amazing
