Why has nobody tried this ''main stat washing''

Hi, I had no way to word it better, but what I found was that with mp washing you remain extra stats that you (normally sort into HP)

But why not go full MP washing with lots of int, take out mp and put into main stat? Then once you reached the cap, you just insert into your secondary ability. And you'll end up with e.g. 120 extra free dex so you can scroll luk instead of dex...


Profit?

 

The HP and MP washing we do right now could be described as juggling your ability point around to gain more hp or mp, but in the end you still have the same amount of AP as you started with. The kind of washing you describe does not have that same logic, you expect to obtain more AP than you started with which is something which is simply not possible as the system won't allow that.

 

It is possible

• I level up.
• I add 5 mp take out 5 mp put 5 in main stat.
• I can now take out mp 15 times and put it anywhere I want. (that I wouldnt be able to do without applying MP wash).

What part am I missing?

 

The part where you need to put points in to take points out. If I only put 5 points in mp then I can only take 5 points out, that's how it works.
I don't know where you get the idea from that you can take out more points than you have invested, because it's simply not possible.

 

It's true that you can't create points, but if you have base int, adding mp will give more than if you take it out again. This doesn't create extra main stats, but it does create extra mp (on top already lvling with int).

To OP, you may be thinking about lvling with int gear, taking out mp and putting it in your main stat. However, you can only take out hp/mp if you have points in hp/mp, so this won't work.

 

Maybe I got confused because the AP reset does tell me I can take out mp put in main stat. But I guess it wont let you do that. I'll test it either way

 

You can, but you cannot take out mp without having spent points in either hp or mp.

In the end you would still have the same amount of AP in your main stat.
