Dark Wyverns in HT and HTPQ resist ice. According to here (http://bbb.hidden-street.net/search_finder/dark wyvern), Dark Wyverns should be neutral to all elements and immune to heal. However, an IL AM who I brought to my run only dealt 40k with Blizzard 30. She can consistently 1 hit petris who have the same HP (80k) and elemental interactions (neutral to all elements and immune to heal) as Dark Wyverns in HT. Furthermore, in "Horntail Guide" posted by Matt found here (https://royals.ms/forum/threads/horntail-guide.6152/), "Mages must be able to OHKO mobs (i.e. Dark Wyverns)." To do that, she'd need 2014 magic, over the cap of 1999, while I as a bishop only need 1591. I'm not sure if other elements are affected, but I'll update this post with further testing. ^^
That's because Horntail spawns a different type of Dark Wyvern. It's not the same mob as the ones outside.
From what I've seen, Dark Wyverns in HT and outside of HT only vary in terms of how much HP they have (80k vs 60k) and whether or not their magic attack dispels. Dark Wyverns in HT are supposed to be ice resistant? o-o
http://bbb.hidden-street.net/search_finder/dark wyvern from what I see here there is Chaos Dark Wyvern, but I think it's related to Chaos Horntail. ( cause it have 240k hp ) shouldn't be immune to Ice from what I remember
Even in places like balance discussion people were saying AMs were really helpful in HT because of easy 1h. I can understand immunity to freeze status, but are they really supposed to be resistant to ice?
It's very likely that they should be ice resistant since the files we use should be accurate. Are they fire weak? Looks like they are
I'll ask an IL AM friend about how he hit on Dark Wyverns back when HT was done in two party runs. I'll see if I can bring a FP AM friend to test their damage too. Will get back to you, Andreas! Thank you for your time!
That same friend also said they are weak to fire. Andreas is right. XD I haven't been able to find any evidence of elemental interactions from old GMS videos, so sorry for the confusion! Rip IL AM. </3
Curse of the I/L mage, @NMNA should know all about it from when he ran HT as an I/L and I ran as a F/P : ^) . 199k crits life
