Tested with laszlo, the bug is that griffey's electro thing goes past mesoguard while showing mesoguard-ed numbers, not 1shot edit2: ehhh ok so the electric attack dispels and hits through mg on that attack, maybe not a bug then, idk if its supposed to be like that sucks for mages and dits and anyone with <3.4k hp Also does it still not drop the heroic item required for 4th job advance? Is it possible to receive this item from a GM?
I am positive it should not work that way. The dispel used by griffey, and manon too, should only dispel. It should not deal damage at the same time. This is why mages always die fighting the two. I remember clearly from my bishop in GMS that while fighting manon, it would dispel and i would have time before its next attack and before a kentaurus runs into me to put up magic guard again. It should NOT insta-kill you.
If you are bit a pirate you can get the heroic drops for sure. And the dispel issue has been reported before. Me and others have tested it quite a lot and are yet to experience this dispel death. So if was marked as not replicatable.
It is definitely replicatable, I can't get it to stop happening to me. Me and Laszlo tested it and got it to happen 100% of the time. Were you using meso guard?
Happens all the time if you're a Mage. It dispels and damages all in one blow, which it's not supposed to.
In the meantime: try to always stand in the body while attacking. It sounds crazy but it does work. Prepare to pot a lot though.
