So recently I've been disconnecting on every single HT run I've been on (3/3 so far). It always happens on the main body as a bunch of wyverns spawn, and the client just freezes and closes with no error message, so it's probably a graphical error. It's never happened when a body part dies. I'm using vmware with Windows XP (I do have an NVIDIA graphics card), gfxing like 2-3 times per run (once after each prehead death and once after legs and tail die), and am looking for any other things I could try to fix this problem, thanks.
Hey thanks for the reply, what do you mean by disable compatibility? If I uncheck the box for "run this program in compatibility mode for" and click ok it just rechecks it automatically. I'm currently running it in compatibility mode for win98/me.
This is what I'm trying to do right now, but if I hit ok and go back to compatibility, the box is selected again. I'm not quite sure what "change for all users" means because I'm running XP with only 1 account
XP isn't an option in the dropdown (it's 95, 98/me, NT 4.0, or 2000), and I'm currently on an administrator account. Thanks for all the help so far though.
Update: I managed to finish my first horntail (1/4 now!) by gfxing a ton during the run (twice during each body part). I guess I just need to gfx a lot to prevent d/cs.
We released new files today please try and update them and hopefully you will see an improvement: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/patch-notes-09-06-16.68196/
