I am currently new to MapleRoyals, although i did Global Maple Story at the time of V62, that was many years ago. I am very confused on where i should train and level up any character that i play quickly and effectively. If you could maybe give a quick comment of the basics or put a link in there it would be much appreciated Thank you
For early levels, it is generally green slimes > bubblings > wild boars/kpq @ level 21 > teddies > lpq @ level 35. Honestly, I can't say at exactly what level you should go because different classes have different accuracy/dmg. Once you can 1-2 hit the next area though, you should move on. After LPQ, it really varies on your job (unless you are doing other PQs such as LMPQ, OPQ, or PPQ)
I wanted to add that, imo you probably want to be 2-3 hitting the mobs you're grinding at, at these low levels, to maximise the amount of exp you get for the amount of dmg you do. At 1-2hit, you often do more dmg to the mob than you need to. Killing too quickly may also bring spawn rate into the equation as a limiting factor but this depends on location. This is less important at higher levels but with the level range you're grinding at each spot being far smaller, it's an important consideration for efficient leveling. Note: To further complicate things, this strategy may not always apply as there are mobs you may want to 1-2hit asap depending on your class.
I dont know what class you play , but dont miss wooden masks at 3x and master chronos at 4x-5x. Exp may be little slower than other places like lpq\lmpq , but you get expensive scrolls like 60% earrings int and 60% helm dex, and that will help you to get funds :3 Good luck!
I like those suggestions! I've played mages, warriors and a sin and have done fine training at Wooden/Rock Masks at 2x. Also, Cloud Foxes at 30+ could be viable too. They drop 2H for Sword 30% Scrolls which fetch ~10m and the possibility of a Diao Chan sword with 5+ int, which can fetch a hefty sum too.
Keep in mind there are many well-written class-specific guides which have training locations for those classes, and those training locations often apply to melee/ranged general classes as well. Search outside the box
Not sure why no one listed this: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/catlaunchs-training-guide.12021/ It might have been "discontinued" but it still extremely accurate.
At least for some classes. I just tried KPQ as a test on my Pirate at level 27 and I am horrendously underpowered against the Ligators and felt like I was holding the party back on the first section. Ant tunnel isnt too bad but it's mostly pot spamming. Sucks not really being able to do party activities yet. The corsair guide I saw at least didn't really provide much in way of training locations.
