As promised, we have looked into some of the issues that came with the previous patch. In today's patch we have rectified most of these major issues as well as fixing some other visual problems. This patch does not require players to download the files and is optional, however we highly recommend that you do to ensure you have the best gameplay experience. Files Changed: Character.wz Etc.wz String.wz UI.wz MapleRoyals.exe Changes Made In This Patch: Client is no longer packed to reduce the chance of the process getting stuck in task manager. Many unused items have been removed from Character.wz which fixes the majority of random disconnections and the white screen issue on Windows XP. Fixed a problem where some pet equips could not be equipped. Fixed images for cash shop items: Green & Purple Dinosaur Overall, Loose Fit Sweater and Meow T-Shirt. Corrected typo's on items: Dark Scroll for Magic Attack 30%, Dark Scroll for Overall Armor for DEX 30%, Maple Thief Shield, Solid Black Sabre, Sword Earrings. Corrected a typo in the game option menu from Alliance Tournament to Alliance Chat. Fixed commands for pets: Sun Wu Kong and Kino. Fixed an issue where you could not hover over cash shop items: Shiny Altair Earrings and Altair Earrings Credits to @Andreas for the Majority of fixes in this patch. GoogleDrive individual file link for the client should work, although I've heard it gets error 404 in some browsers. All other mirrors should work fine. The Mac client will be available from the GoogleDrive link in a few minutes.
do we simply replace the original files with the new ones, or do we just add the new ones into the folder?
I believe replacing the old Royals folder with the new one would be least error prone, OR you could download this new Royals folder into a different directory, handpick the new "edited" files (Character.wz, Etc.wz, etc.) from the new Royals folder, and simply drop them into your old Royals folder - you will be prompted to replace the old with the new.
When I try to remove the files, or basically do anything with them, i get a message, that the file is already in use...? Im not online and the client is shut down. Do you know what to do?
Make sure to open Task Manager and end any currently running Royals processes, this may be your issue. You can also reboot your computer before attempting to modify the files, this will ensure that all Royals processes are off and you have a clean slate.
If you download the new files and stand in the same room as someone using a Bunny Stick weapon (or w/e it's called), you DC. The item no longer has a name
Ccing into CH1 FM entrance after downloading new patch, or entering from a FM room into CH1 FM, immediately dces my character from the server. Is this only me?
It's cuz of the Bunny Stick or other nameless items. If someone wears it in the same map as you, instant dc
Ugh, that's unfortunate. It changing to have no name in the anniversary patch is probably part of the reason it was accidentally removed. I'll work on getting new files out for this now to fix it, however it will require those who have already downloaded, to download a new Character.wz and String.wz again. Will post again once the new files are up. ETA 10:00 for individual files, 12:00 for setups.
