In my experience with Zakum the only attack you need to avoid by jumping off of your ship is the 1/1 attack, especially at the 2nd and 3rd bodies. After the first body Zakum attacks so rapidly that I feel my DPS suffers from dismounting the boat on anything other than the 1/1 attack. Once my boat is destroyed, I use rapid fire until the boat comes off cooldown. It's very helpful to have a Shadower and a good Bishop during Zakum, as Shadowers have the Smokescreen skill that allows you to avoid all damage for a bit, thus allowing you to put out insane DPS while not having to worry about your boat; and having a good Bishop (key word: good, not just any Bishop) is key because one of Zakum's abilities (the blue lightning cast) does damage and also seals you, so you can't cast spells. If you don't have a good Bishop who knows how to quickly dispel this seal then you can get stuck being unable to cast spells, and this makes it difficult to get on and off your boat unless you spam all cure potions in between casting. Bossing at Krexel is easier because it attacks much less, so you can be on your boat almost the entire time.
I'll add that dismount before being Stun can help a lot too. + 1 for the bishop, really annoying when the bishop don't know how to dispel
Corsair is very much a bossing class and that will be where most of your exp comes from. You CAN grind with them, but it's hard.
Yeah, I pretty much only grind at ToT Oblivion rooms. I'm heavily washed and usually have a DK with me though, so it's not that bad. I usually find that getting BFs is the best way to train, especially once you have the techniques down that are shown in this guide.
Just a quick question I was looking over the various comments of the guide needing to be updated and i was wondering should i still have battleship at lvl 1
Also curious about training spots. As mentioned elsewhere, I tried out kPQ at level 27 and felt like a huge detriment to my team with how poorly I was doing against ligators. I will hit 30 probably by grinding and pot spamming ant tunnel Evil Eyes. I'm just spamming SSK and using the damage immunity period after getting hit to help mob a ton of them without losing a ton of life for higher exp versus only attacking 1-2 for the same amount of hp loss. I forgot how weak pirate felt in the early stages. Recommendation of being pure dex till 90 really hampers gear early on. May not matter much but being able to use certain bits of gear would certainly help. My surfboard has been ok so far, just weak. Eventually going to farm for the maplegun once I class change. I want to try to get it on my own instead of meso grinding to buy gear atm.
Hi, so I noticed there's no "last edit" for this guide so: Is outlaw skills still bugged (fire DoT and octopus summon)? Does corsair still have any bugged skill (from gunslinger to corsair)? Thanks!
gunslinger is the harder class to grind in this game, because of the low damage before the 4th job, you best way to "grind" is PQ > Teddys > LPQ > LMPQ > Leech till level 135 > Boss runs.
Thank you. Hopefully I can just amp my gear or something once I can use the maplegun. Currently RNGesus hates me. I have gotten 3-4 maple weapons by accident but Ive been intentionally grinding ghost stumps for the maple gun for a while with no luck.
Figures xD. What are they even running now on the market? Since the recommended is Str-less the damage is lackluster without a maplegun. I'm adding a bit of strength (25) then no more till the 90 recommendation. That way I can use some other stuff in the mean time.
I've been leeching myself with my bishop mule and I'm about to hit 120 at last! I heard from someone that I need to be at least 135 to start bossing. Should I keep leeching myself after 120 or is there a training spot that is faster?
is there any updated guide that can work with new source also and also with how much hp needed for cwk later and bosses in new source and hp wash guide how much int need to reach that goal . thanks
Burst fire still doesnt have the DoT. It would probably open up a few more training opportunities for me if they fixed it
I noticed that the training section is not updated yet. does anyone have any recommendations for training spots for lv110~120? I've been using newties from 85 till 110 and its getting boring
