Invitation to join another server

    So today I received a friend request from this random dude named Thaylei Tran. I accepted it thinking he could be someone from MapleRoyals.

    Instead, he claimed to be an admin of another Maplestory private server and tried convincing me to join his server.

    My guild has a Facebook group (defunct now). He may have found my profile from there.

    I absolutely love MapleRoyals and would never quit and join another server.

    These guys could be waiting for you to create an account on their server with the same credentials as your MapleRoyals account. They can then easily hack into your MapleRoyals account.

    I noticed alot of accounts getting hacked recently and thought I'd share this with the community.

    I'm not accusing the guy in the screenshot of being a hacker. But trying to steal players from other servers shows alot about him. Very unprofessional.

    *note: This isnt a report abuse post. Just sharing something with the community. Not too sure about which forum section this belongs to :)

    WELL I'm from Singapore too and I got a friend request from him. Did a little homework and I realized he was promoting a new PS. Didn't accept the friend request though. Heh..

    lol i know him he lives closeby , his an alright lad he's just abit slow cause of an accident he had a couple years back but all he wants is people to join his ps and i guess that's how he does it haha.

    Definitely not the right way to go about it, nor to use the MapleRoyals Facebook logo to pretend to be us...

    You realize you're indirectly promoting them now right? At least censor the server name.

    This is the same person that decided to make a lengthy post advertising the server right here in this subforum. Although it was deleted within 5 minutes, not that I had expected many people to go there. But it says a lot about how they must run things if their admin is having to advertise by breaking the T&C both here and on Facebook.

    What a foul attempt to recruit in their server. Of course we will not leave Maple Royals, no kudos for the dirty effort.

    Negative attention doesnt equate to promoting. I dont see how people would want to join them after reading this. If anything, I'm condemning them.
