Update: As of January 1, 2017, if you overlevel a beginner, YOU WILL LOSE SP FOR THOSE LEVELS. While a 30k HP bishop is still possible, under absolutely perfect, effectively impossible circumstances such as MP washing starting at level 8 through 200, a 30k HP bishop will max out at 17,816 MP. A 30k HP 30k MP bishop is not possible under any circumstance. ___________________________________ There were multiple character issue threads in which people overleved their characters while they were beginners and did the first job advancement late (level 9 or later for magicians and level 11 or later for all other classes). This resulted in that character losing 3 first job SP for every level over because overleveling was player error and therefore not refundable. However, with the SC notice here: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/server-check-29-11-15.45457/, this issue was resolved. So I plan to make a 7.5k HP and 30k MP bishop. This requires me to stay as a beginner until level 110. If I make the first, second, and third job advancements at level 110, will I be compensated the 67 first job SP, 121 second job SP, and 121 third job SP? And if the game doesn't automatically give that SP to me upon making those advancements, would a character issue thread requesting SP refunds in those amounts be valid? It stands to reason that with the introduction of the in-game first job SP refund, I should be eligible for the 67 first job SP, but my concern is if staff maintain a no refund policy for second and third job SP. So before I undertook such a project, I thought I should ask.
Doing a quick test of manufacturing a level 31 Beginner character then advancing it to 1st job, I've got 70 Skill Points. This confirms what I'm about to say: The old issue with characters not recieving SP when they overleveled 1st job was that, since the character was a Beginner, it would not gain any SP after level 7 at all. The NPC for the first job advancement would not compensate those SP when you advanced, however now they do - what they do is take your level and subtract the level you should have advanced at, and then give you three SP per level from there, plus the 1 SP you naturally get for advancing. If you advance to first job Magician at level 200, you will receive 577 SP. I advanced at level 31, so I got 23 levels of SP (69) and the one from advancing makes 70. The only thing I will say is to please make sure you're putting only the number of SP you need for each job into that job. I have 70 SP as I've mentioned - if I put all 70 into 1st job skills, I will not be refunded the 3 SP that were actually for my 2nd job skills (the SP gained from my leveling to 31). tl;dr: you'll have the right amount of SP, don't worry. Just make sure you use your SP correctly.
Thank you Mike! Good to have another project to work on someday! XD Just nitpicking, how did you get the 577 SP as a level 200 magician figure? At level 200, a magician should have 67 first job SP, 121 second job SP, 151 third job SP, and 243 SP, for a total of 583 SP, a 6 SP difference (see math below). Your number makes sense for level 200 non-mage classes, but magicians make their job advancement two levels earlier, so that's where the 6 SP difference probably came from. SP from Job Advancement NPC + (Level to next Job Advancement - Level for current Job Advancement) * Number of SP per Level 1 + (30-8) * 3 = 67 1 + (70-30) * 3 = 121 1 + (120-70) * 3 = 151 3 + (200-120) * 3 = 243
You will not get those 1/3 SP until you job advance to those jobs. So when you do first Job Advance, you get 66+120+150+240+1. That's 577. You get 1 more when you job advance to 2nd job, then 1 more when you get to 3rd job, then 3 more when you get to 4th job. Doing 1st job advancement does not give you these points. PS: Your own math is incorrect - those numbers total 582, not 583.
Maximum Damage Mages Can Tank With MG Max MP/% Damage Taken From MP with MG =Maximum Damage 30,000/0.8 = 37,500 Maximum Damage x % Damage Taken From HP with MG = Goal HP 37,500 x 0.2 = 7500 (Level x 12) + 52 = Natural HP for Magician (only works after second job)* (170 x 12) + 52 = 2092 Goal HP - Natural HP = HP Needed 7500 - 2092 = 5500 (Buffer of 92) HP Needed/Beginner HP Wash Gain = Number of HP Washes 5500/10 = 550 Number of HP Washes x Beginner MP Cost per HP Wash = MP Needed 550 x 8 = 4400 And with my calculations, Level 110 can HP wash to 7500 HP as Beginner (550 AP Resets for HP washing) Level 191 can MP wash to 30k MP as Magician (405 AP Resets for MP washing) 955 AP Resets total 9.55b total, assuming AP Resets at 10m each * (Level x 14) + 36 = Natural HP for Beginner (only works after second job) (170 x 14) + 36 = 2416 324 HP more with Beginner, so Natural HP for Magician assumed @Aaron So, in summary, with MG, a mage can tank 37,500 damage with 7500 HP and 30,000 MP. Of course, they can take more with more HP, but once MP hits zero, all excess damage is taken out of HP, so the difference in maximum damage is minor. I didn't account for MP washing as a beginner or HP washing as a magician. I assumed all AP was put into int and every level up from level 10 onwards had MW 20. Int gear was assumed as follows: 21 hat (level 10), 9 eye (level 45), 18 ear (level 40), 5 pendant (level 50), 20 overall (level 20), 18 cape (level 50), 15 gloves (level 10), 7 weapon (level 48), 9 shield (level 20), 4 shoes (level 50). Subject to change as I get access to int gear in new slots (e.g. Almighty Ring), find better int gear to buy (assumed what was reasonably attainable from the selling forum), and perfect my mage's gear. Also worth noting that I assumed this set of gear to level 200, so the int equipped would be higher once I was able to transfer my mage's gear after the first job advancement.
A 7.5k/30k mage is much easier than a 30k HP NL, and I definitely don't have the dedication to leech myself all the way to 200. But this is something I'll do after finishing various other things like my SE mule, sed mule, and hitting 1600 or 1700 magic. It's just a thought exercise for now.
I more or less meant it as a compliment! And nobody else would be crazy enough to bother HP washing a Mage almost a thousand times cept Chance haha
