Can't deal with CCing ksers on boss maps::Solution::being a devil to kill the devils?

How are we supposed to report and destroy people who kill steal bosses in maps that we own? Say you're killing things for a boss to spawn, it does, then someone either CCs into or is already in the map at the time and steals the boss from you, then CCs. How do you handle it and how can they be punished? By the time you're done typing out the T &C to them about kill stealing, they would have already killed the mini-boss and left. Is this even something that is perceived as an issue that needs to be addressed? If it's something people are not allowed to do, then would be ok for someone to use a chat macro to explain the T&C and take a screenshot before the boss is engaged. Would this be unacceptable? If so, what can people do to defend themselves from this behavior, it hardly seems fair.

 

maybe record it next time and upload a video? Thats what i would do if it was happening to me..

the problem is that you dont have time to tell them to leave and that its against t&c while taking ss, checking bosshp and mapowner all at the same time. it doesnt take many seconds before your boss is gone in some cases.

 

As @Barrage said though, you could also take a video. Does anyone have a sort of solution to propose to fix this issue being raised?

 

I believe that this thread was raised since there was no formal and explicitly-stated exception to this type of scenario in the KS format thread. My proposed solution is to explicitly say that taking a video (and demonstrating that you had little to no time to do the standard verbal KS warning routine) in this type of scenario is acceptable in the KS format thread.

 

Well the reason they changed the format of KS reporting in the first place was to help prevent false bans and to encourage player communication. Lets say there's a person that's farming in a map with a boss in it. They can't really fight the boss but they're still farming/training doing whatever there. What's to stop the person farming from getting someone banned simply out of spite or something?

 

Unless the person follows you to every channel and does that deliberately to you more than once, I'd say just forget about it and let it go.

Not saying this isn't a problem as this had happened to me once when I was just a priest and I understand how you feel. This nightlord cc'd in, one-shot my zombie mushmom, looted and changed channel. Naturally my reaction was "wtf" and not "~mapowner" and screenshotting, so I couldn't do anything about him. I did end up arguing with him for 10mins in whispers which accomplished nothing.

The most a mini boss could drop is 350nx, it's not a lot and I don't think it's worth the trouble to take a video, render the video, then uploading it, and submitting a thread. The time taken to do all that, you could hunt a round of another mini boss. Unless it's happening more than once by the same person which would be really annoying and probably a form of harassment (you'd also have time to prepare and gather evidence), I'd say just forget about it and move on, it'd give you a much happier online (maple) experience.

 

Let's ks all bosses. Take maps from all the ppl who would say cc pls only.
