So I'm level 70, went to go talk to Arec to start the 3rd job advancement. The quest that he was supposed to give never creates a progress. In short, he never gives me the quest. Every time I talk to him he gives me the option to accept the quest. I've went to dark lord to see if its just ya know, buggy. Turns out its not. Dark lord doesn't know i talked to arec. I also tried this with the holy stone. Needless to say to no avail. I've asked coutless people in my guild and friends, and I've even contacted Lazz to help me out. He couldn't help me out either. My SP and AP are all at 0. The onlly thing left to say, is that the quest is bugged entirely. TLR I need someone to turn my character into a hermit or fix the quest asap
Update: with help from Gi, Richmond is now a Hermit at last! It seems the script has gotten mixed up. Gi, please make a note here if you fix the script? Thanks! FAO other staff: What's happening is that when you go to talk to the Dark Lord before doing the Clone fight to become a Hermit, The Dark Lord merely says "You have chosen wisely" and doesn't tell you to get the Black Charm. However, to continue the job advance quest, you have to go kill the Dark Lord's clone and get the Black Charm as though he HAD told you. The Door of Dimension won't let you in and just says "???" at you, so a GM has to warp you to the Other Dimension to fight the Dark Lord's Clone.
I'm having the same problem advancing to Chief Bandit. Just spent like, five hours grinding to get to 70 and I would very much like to keep going. Just having said problem with the Dark Lord.
