Hello! I've just recently discovered Mapleroyals and I can't express how thrilled I am. I'm a long time maplestory player who's been discouraged because of all the new updates and all, so I'm glad this is actually a thing. I want to install mapleroyals on my mac but frankly I don't know how a private server works. Do I have to download maplestory on my mac first as well as mapleroyals or is mapleroyals a separate game that can be downloaded directly? (Hoping that it's the latter because I don't really want to go through the fuss of bootcamp XD) Also, is it 100% safe? It looks like it is but if possible I'd like some reassurance hehe;; Thank you in advance!
Well what you do is download the MapleRoyals setup from the Home page and then install it to a separate folder. You should not place any other server files in the same folder. Yes the game is safe to download and use, some antivirus programs flags the MapleRoyals.exe as a virus which is very common, likely not an issue on mac, here are hundreds of posts about it if you are interested: https://royals.ms/forum/search/3069169/?q=virus&o You will need to use bootcamp/parallels and windows to be able to boss, as the game was never designed for macs this is a problem we can't fix right now.
Hi, not really a direct reply but i'm also downloading mapleroyals on my MAC currently but I seem to be running into the same error over and over. I've downloaded the file and dragged it onto my desktop. Currently when I try to open the " Maple royals Client " file I downloaded onto my desktop, I get the following error.. " The application X11 could not be opened. An error occurred while starting the X11 server. Failed to activate core devices. " Any tips / help would be greatly appreciated!!
