Why does my game only work with 4G and not my wifi?

I was playing MapleRoyals with no issues what so ever untill today. I randomly dced and couldnt get back in the game.
After clicking on the exe, I get this message "We are unable to connect to the login server due to a server check, a firewall block or other network issues. Please check the MapleRoyals homepage for ongoing server checks aswell as your firewall settings."
It works with 4G but not my wifi for some reason.
I think it might be a problem with my ISP as alot of people who are with the same ISP have the same issue. Maybe a problem with the I.P address and the server host? I'm not sure. Is there a way around it? Besides having to use 4G internet

 

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Me too, I am based in Australia and have exactly the same problem, but as you said, works on 4G.
Are we supposed to register our IP address or something?

 

i have asked about it to GM, but they said that you get an error message trying to launch the game is unrelated to being banned.

 

i have used wifi from my phone and it working!

 

Maybe its an issue with the server and Australian I.PS

Yeah I thought I got IP banned, since I keep getting firewall/server check error and even made an appeal... still not fixed though

 

By the way anyone else with TPG Internet? I think it's something to do with ISP

Lmao I'm with TPG aswell, thats bull shit, is there a fix? I called them and requested an I.P change, not sure if it'll work though

 

I'm thinking pay for VPN service if this doesn't fix itself after a while

 

I've tried flushing my DNS, using a Static IP, using Google's public DNS (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4) rebooting my modem, disable all firewalls and antivirus and still nothing. None of the common fixes seem to work. I had a similar problem with TPG and LoL in the past but the Google DNS trick worked

 

What exactly is a VPN service? It sounds very familiar. There has to be a way around this

 

Same problem with TPG. I tried to ues free public VPN（cyberghost）to play. It worked! Hope I am not getting banned

 

I paid for a VPN service, which comes to around $2/month and I can play now, not sure if worth though
