I been thinking about what I want to turn my warrior into, and honestly finding it hard which I want to pick. DrK have a very useful party buff some interesting self-buffs, but sky skis and berserk 30 seem expensive as well as they have to stay at 40%- HP. Heroes don't have any of those downfalls but they have no party buffs either. I heard they're pretty similar DPS wise, and HP washing will be done to who ever I pick. The main reason I was considering DrK is because I have a party buff, but is it worth it over the disadvantages? Thanks for any help. =)
Cost is pretty much the same endgame, drk requires much more focus than hero at bosses. Hero is basically a bottling class; you can just hold down brandish and basically you will never die
I see, how much does it matter in the long run for bossing? The main reason I'm drawn to these 2 classes is because they are both good bossers as well as good at grinding, if the biggest thing in endgame bossing is equips and level, then I think I know my choice.
what are the reasons you are saying that is drk better than hero as your are level 200 hero right now ?
In terms of skill books, I say Dark Knights have it slightly easier. Berserk 30 and Brandish 30 are roughly 50m max but Berserk 30 is more common. It's minor. Dark Knights have a much harder time obtaining their end game weapon: Sky Skis. It's only available from Showa Gachapon which isn't used as much as NLC Gachapon which gives Stonetooth. Perfect Clean ST (111ATK) is worth 2b. Perfect Clean Sky Ski (104ATK) is worth 4+b. Heroes don't have any party buffs but at least one Hero is desirable for Horntail due to SED. Dark Knights are a luxury for certain parties and a requirement for others due to Hyper Body and some ranged attackers lacking the necessary health without HB. In terms of DPS, Heroes have better DPS but they fulfill the same purpose at Horntail: Hit 3 targets (LEFT ARM/WING/LEG) and (RIGHT ARM/WING/HEAD C). Both classes' DPS falls off once they're forced to hit a single target (HEAD A/HEAD B). Both classes should HP wash but Dark Knights have it much easier. Dark Knights can get away with wearing INT equips as early as possible, without putting a single point into INT, to reach 18.75k HP (30k with HB). Heroes require superb INT equips or some base INT to hit 30k HP and it's much more expensive for them because they require more AP resets. Heroes are easier than Dark Knights because you can just let your pet heal you and hold Brandish. Dark Knights require micro managing health to maximize DPS and failure can lead to death. Heroes are usually targets for SED at Horntail so it'll be annoying when LEG/TAILs are up. It can be dangerous at Horntail if the Bishop DC/Died/Sucks. Also, Heroes are one of the BEST classes to go Zakum because you won't lose your sanity dealing with stuns. They can just tank the body and avoid all curse/stuns.
on top of what @VitaLemonade said I would probably be way more keen on buying both rush30 and achilles 30 on my drk because of the way they grind and how you have to pot during ht, both of which are quite rare/expensive books. While grinding drks are more laid back and easier to get enough range to 2hit o4 mobs which is what you ideally want. Once both drk and hero 2hit the mobs hero might be slightly faster grinder but its quite hard to get to the point where you 2hit o4 mobs on a hero, I know many level 200 heros that still can't 2hit at o4. To optimize your grinding as a hero you basically jump side ways while using brandish in the air, drk use rush>jump>crusher in air. I have played both hero (lv200) and drk (lv195) my personal opinion is that hero is way more fun. What it really comes down to is what you prefer playing yourself we've mentioned some of the pros/cons of both classes but it doesn't really matter too much as long as you enjoy playing the class you should play it.
Heroes have party buff, it's Rage. But keep in mind, if a party member is on Apple or boosters, do not buff him with Rage. Have a solid bossing group with you, it maybe composed of guildmates or a group of friends you usually hang out with and share the same timezone with ^^. My experience as a Hero is super fun. I'm sure, if you choose to be a Hero, you will enjoy it as well. But as Hampa said, doesn't matter which one you choose, as long as you enjoy playing it. Happy Mapling! ^_^
