Not really a challenge originally but I took it as one, potato!

    Anyhow.

This is my 6th day and here's the result, note the unsold AP resets, worth 400m. And the fact that I had been wasting all my money till yesterday. And I still have a lot more valuable items for sale. Aaand I have a job which takes 10h of my weekdays.

So if I actually tried to gather money from the first day, I'd easily be at 2b ish.

Not trying to shove this into anyone's face, but I'm trying to point out how easy it can be. I know plenty of people who don't have a job and could take this further than I can right now. Of course this doesn't mean that I could right away go and buy a bunch of white scrolls. But I could wait and buy the ones that are cheap enough, try to get them for a bargain from unaware gachaers etc. It only requires some time after gathering the money. And that is easy.

Um, I challenged you to obtain 50-60 ws... not 1b. Of course you can make 1bil, anyone can off a few lucky gachas and a bit of grinding. The whole idea was that it was extremely hard to perfect an item in ANY amount of time, and if you can do that with 1bil then I applaud you, but this was nowhere near the challenge we had given you.

You say it took you 6 days to gather around 2bil in items, and that's using the farming class. In addition to the massive amount of ws you'll need, you'll also need to chaos equips or buy pre-chaosed ones (not that anyone sells any). The whole idea behind this was not that the money was unobtainable but that the supply was much too low. I have no problem with the price of WS I have a problem with the fact that there aren't any.

Ah no, this is a different thing, pretty much why I said Potato and not David.. This isn't the challenge you gave me.

But anyhow, priest isn't really a farming class, and I haven't farmed particularly, just progressing as I would normally. Any job would have killed the same amount or more monsters to reach my level, meaning that I'd have pretty much the same amount on those classes. Though I soon will be a farming class, bishop, which will definitely change things. And the money from gacha was pretty much just due to the sheer amount I used, not due to luck. I was given an estimation how much I could make with 230 gacha, so I used them.

And no, I won't be chaosing anything, I'll be making a weapon, the one that changes your damage the most. I'm still working on your challenge.

Sorry if I misled you accidentally and pissed you off.

Ok, I'll admit about that I was wrong about how long it takes to make 1b. But obtaining enough WS or chaos scrolls to perfect weapons or have godly atk stuff is still no easy task.

My point in my first post on the other thread was that even if chaos scrolls and white scrolls are implemented in a high level BPQ, there is have nothing to worry about.. The server will be still be awesome. We're not all suddenly going to not have fun because it will be slightly easier to have perfect weapons. It obviously won't be a guaranteed reward..just a way to get more in the fm to fight inflation which was the original problem.

EDIT: I'm kind of curious as to how you accumulated 230 gachapon tickets and 62 ap resets in 6 days by simply voting and spamming heal/shining ray at mobs...

Yeh, I won't be fighting it since I know that to most it doesn't simply matter if there is slightly more white scrolls.

It's just that my perspective is one of a no-life player. I see achieving the pinnacle of equips as the end, and when I want a server to be a long-lived one, reaching the pinnacle should not take a few months. Pinnacle to me is a perfect weapon and the rest of the gear being godly. If I were to reach the pinnacle, I would, and have become before, quickly bored. And if I were to join a server which already has players who have reached the pinnacle, I would not have a purpose, since attempting to go for the strongest spot is what I find the most fun in this game.

The reason I chose this challenge is just because of that. I want you guys to see this from my perspective. Just to see my perspective.

I feel like some might have gotten the idea that I'm trying to force my view to everybody as the best way, but that is not the case. Like I said in the beginning, I know that to most it simply doesn't matter.

I understand what your saying but this is how Maplestory is. Eventually in any server, even GMS, there are people who reach the top spot or who are the best, and yes it discourages new players but that doesn't mean they should stop playing. Think of GMS. Thousands of people have perfect equips and are sitting at level 200, yet millions of people still play everyday.

If the game is fun, you play it. You don't let high leveled people with perfect equips discourage you. Think of a kid who is 11 or 12 years old today and just discovered Maplestory...He (or she) is going to be WAAYYY behind everyone else but if he gets into the game with some friends, he will probably still have a good time.

You're... you're kidding, right? Let me list the jobs that from 75 on should be training at HH/BF: Corsairs, Shadowers, Hermits, Snipers, and Rangers. And from 95, Brawlers and Heroes should be bossing as well. Priests are most DEFINITELY a farming class. Trust me, you make a whole lot more on a priest than almost any other job.

Also, once again your logic confuses me... perfecting a weapon, as discussed, will take on average 9-10bil with the current cost of WS. For that money, you should EASILY be able to make a 15+att cape, 15+att fs, and 15+att SCG. That's 45 attack. Perfecting your weapon will add 35att and a nominal amount of a stat depending on your class. In terms of cost effectiveness, you're much better off making your other equips very good before attempting to perfect a weapon.

Well, if you consider any class on 1-3rd jobs a farming class, I'm in the wrong. And sure, HH and BF are sweet nectars. But you say "should". Well, that is debatable, most of the classes you list are very good at mobbing for exp. It's either you want the best exp with no money, or decent exp with lot's of money. Can't really call priest a farming class just because it can't kill bosses.
Bishop, is a farming class, priest is a noob.

What I mean is which equip is the most valuable in terms of att. 35att extra from scrolling a sleeve/craven. I wouldn't get that with chaos even if I worked on a single item. The challenge was to make a perfect equip, not a good gear.

But you said you weren't taking my challenge. And since when is the definition of a farming class one who can kill bosses...

David, don't get your panties in a twist. Vergil wasn't even talking about your challenge, as stated in the first line of the post.

Oh noo, I'm still working on your challenge. Don't know where I said I didn't take it. And I'm pretty sure I didn't say that for the definition either.
