I'm quite new to HP Washing and I see guides of people reaching over 10k HP by Level 120 or so. However, I'm Level 99 and so far I only have 4.4k HP, plus the +200 MP converted into HP (4.6k HP) when I use AP Resets ([14 x level] + 144 = 1534). So, as of right now, I'm trying to figure out if I'm HP Washing correctly before I advance past Level 100 because my conscious is telling me that I'm not HP Washing correctly. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, if I am HP Washing incorrectly, should I delete "Aaon" and start from scratch? Meaning, I should HP Wash correctly from Level 1 to 100?
Considering that the min HP at your level is about ~2,500 HP and ~1,500 MP, I would say in a way you successful HP Washed since so far you have a net gain of about 2,000 HP, but in the grand scheme of things it depends on how much HP you were planning on getting and what was the order in which you conducted your HP wash (did you add AP into HP then reset it into DEX/LUK, did you MP wash, etc.). If you can provide any further information, then that's something to work with!
I've played as a normal sin up until Level 65 once I've found out about HP Washing. By "normal sin", I basically mean raising my base DEX up to the requirement for the equips and the rest of my AP goes into LUK. So, ever since Level 65, I've been purely raising up my base INT (from 4 all the way to 169). The part that I feel wrong on is the fact that I've placed AP into base INT instead of HP, so I feel like only a little bit of HP has raised instead of a lot. And when I use AP Resets, I take out the MP and place it into HP... so where does all of my INT go, into LUK? I've just taken a different path with HP Washing and I feel like I did it wrong, making me want to restart my character.
By puting point into base INT. That mean you intended to MP washing. MP washing act by puting FRESH AP POINT into MP which cause u to gain BONUS BASE INT / 10 MP. This make you able to HP WASH more afterward at the cost of ALOT OF AP RESETS. ps: You cannot make "permanent" mistake unless you are lv 200. pps: If you are not really funded, you can always use Fresh AP POINTS and put them into HP then remove from MP into the main stats. Else it will cost you 5 More AP RESETS per level but it will give about 10% better HP overall but its not important unless you are going for the 30k.
Oh, I thought MP Washing was simply HP Washing, but for magicians. Anyway, by the looks of it, I'm washing correctly? Meaning, I don't have to restart my character, even though I started washing at Level 65? I don't know the HP requirements for bossing, but am I heading in the right direction for Zakum, Horntail, or any other bosses without having many struggles? If so. should I continue to MP Wash (raise my base INT) or call it semi-quits and just begin to place my AP into my HP instead of INT (since MP Washing is way more expensive)? How would I calculate when to stop HP/MP Washing? Please provide all the information you can, this is pretty confusing xD.
It depend, if I were you I would use all that base INT you build up abit, maybe for 10 levels ? Just to make sure u use it properly. The thing is, if you ever want to solo big foot, you will need 12k HP and to achieve that you will need to HP wash probably. Same thing with Anego or Pink Bean ? (With HB Of course). Next 10 levels or more if you choose too, Put all 5 points into MP and Remove from MP into your main stats. This will give you alot of MP and then when U feel like starting to boss, u can start buying AP resets and using all that MP to HP wash.
Thanks for all of the advice! And lastly, if I remove from MP into my main stats (LUK), would I remove from INT into HP later on?
You will only remove MP and place it into your main stats if you have added an original level up AP point in either HP or MP. Other than that you can directly use an AP reset to convert the INT into LUK/DEX.
As a sin, fresh AP adds more HP than from AP resets. Leveling to 100 is cheaper than trying to catch up to 10k by 120, if that's your goal
Actually, I have just found out from one of my own HP Washing videos that the AP Reset doesn't only give you +16 HP, it's an illusion really. When I was removing MP to place into HP, it says it will give 3008 (+16) HP, but when I double checked my HP, it went up to 3010 instead. The HP is increased by 18~22 or probably 18~24. So, I believe that I'm not HP Washing incorrectly, but I'm doing it in a more confusing way... (I don't think I have to restart my character) The only reason for me to restart my character now is if I wanted to begin wearing INT equips at Level 1 instead of Level 65. (I think that's a big gap) Other than that, I'm guessing what I have to figure out now is what to do with my remaining INT, whether I add it into HP or into my main stat (LUK). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ EDIT: In addition, I've already used a few AP Resets on Aaon and if I really wanted to HP Wash correctly, maybe I could do it on another character and use Aaon as a "trial and error" main.
First of all, what's your HP goal? Is it 9.1k by 155? Or something higher than that? Without knowing what your goals are, it's hard to say. I can help you calculate it, but I also need to know what your base HP and base MP are right now. To get an accurate reading, please use an AP reset as the hp and mp bars at the bottom also take into account equips and can be inaccurate.
My HP goal... I don't necessarily think that I have one. I was originally going to HP Wash on an alternate character once I've had a better understanding of how HP Washing worked. Although, I didn't want to make a fatal mistake of not HP Washing on my main character because of the potential inability of bossing, due to instant deaths. So, I'm guessing my primary goal is just to survive boss attacks and once I'm familiar with the damages, I will learn to perfect the HP Washing on my other characters. If 9.1k HP by Level 155 can help me survive Horntail, I would say that is my HP goal. I have taken off all of my equips and my base HP is 4259 and my base MP is 1540... I've just did this minimal MP calculation, "[(14 x 99) + 144] = 1530", and it turns out that I was really close to minimal MP? I mean, I've not only raised my base INT, but I've also worn a lot of INT equips right before I leveled up. Also, another thing to input, I gain 92 INT from wearing my INT equips, so my total is 261 (169+92).
Okay, so as of right now you need 4841 more HP to be at 9.1k. This equates to roughly 269 (considering you will be getting an average of 18 hp per wash instead of 22) washes as you will not be able to take advantage of level up ap into HP method because you will need to MP wash. You need 12 mp for each hp wash, so this means you need 3228 more MP than what you have right now. MP washing means putting fresh level up AP into your mp pool to create extra mp. For each point you put in MP, you will be getting 17 mp. First things first, I would put one more point into your base int so that you have 170 int flat. This way when you MP wash, you will be getting 17 mp each time instead of 16. At this point, what you are going to need to do is MP wash for the next 26 levels, assuming you are still level 99. In other words, every time you level up you will need to put all 5 of your AP into MP. You will also get 5 when you job advance at level 120, put these into MP as well. You can reset the ap you put into MP back into luk right away, or do it all later. I find that doing it right away helps keep track of how many AP points you've put into MP, but it's up to you. Doing this will get you 2295 extra mp. You will also be getting mp from having base int and equips on when you level up. Having the base int for 26 more levels will give you 676 extra mp. Finally, you will be able to take out all of your base int at level 125. From here on, just make sure to wear your equips whenever you level up. doing this for 30 (125-155) levels will give you 270 mp. 2295+676+270 = 3241mp After you are finished MP washing, (after level 125) make sure to put all of your level up AP into HP and then reset it from HP into luk. Doing this gives an average of 22 hp instead of 18. You will probably end up with a little extra hp/mp by level 155, but it is always nicer to have more anyway since having to tank a hit would be very scary if you have the minimum requirement. I think it would be easier for you to use this method than to restart. Also, have a pure int sin is definitely no fun. It requires some deep pockets and/or a bishop as you will be required to leech from the very beginning and job advancements will be a nightmare. Plus, you got to play the character and get it all the way to 99 so it would be sad if you had to give it up ^^ *Remember that the 269 is just a rough estimate and that does not include the ap resets needed to reset int to luk nor the mp washing. You're looking at a total of about 600 ap resets to get to 9.1k hp by level 155. 296 for the HP washing, 135 for the mp washing, and 166 to reset your int back into luk. You don't need to HP wash right at 120 though, you can get the ap resets slowly as you won't really need the hp before 155 so don't be too daunted by the amount! **If you can find someone to MW you, preferably MW20, you will be getting a bonus 17 mp per level up. If you have MW20 for every single level up, you could potentially be finished MP Washing at level 120 and be able to reset your base int then, which will in turn help cut down costs. (With this method, you get 3218 mp by level 120, but you also get a tiny bit of level up mp whenever you level. 20 levels should be more than enough to make up the 10mp difference) _________________________________________________ If you have any questions or see any mistakes, please let me know!
Oh, wow. I nearly fainted when I saw this... So, I could go either way of spending 1.86mil NX cash on AP Resets or spend 4.8bil mesos (8mil each, hopefully) on AP Resets... That's quite expensive for just 9.1k HP, let alone 30k HP. Anyway, thanks for the really helpful advice! It definitely gave me a better understanding of HP/MP Washing and hopefully I don't struggle too much paying off this debt.
