Can 30% Scrolls still explode when using a White Scroll?

So, I've read the description of a 30% scroll and it states:

"Success rate: 30%; If failed, the item will be destroyed at a 50% rate"

What I'm getting from this is that the scrolling will first determine your 30 / 70 luck. If you go on a 70% fail, you will then be checked for the 50% of the scrolling doing nothing to your equip or the scrolling destroying your equip.

What I'm really asking is how would a 30% scroll be affected when using a White Scroll alongside it? Since the White Scroll prevents a scroll from failing, and since the equip will ONLY explode after the scrolling fails ("If failed,..."), then does that mean using a 30% scroll with a White Scroll will prevent the equip from exploding?

And if that's the case, then does that mean that using White Scrolls on 10% scrolls would be a waste, since you have better luck using White Scrolls on 30% scrolls.

If that's NOT the case, then does that mean you will have a 65% chance (30 + 35) of your equip NOT exploding, but your success rate still stands at 30%...

Is it even worth using White Scrolls on 30% Scrolls if you still have a 35% chance of your equip exploding? I mean, 10% scrolls are quite awful, but I'd rather use those than having a mere 1/4 chance of your equip exploding...

The whitescroll doesnt prevent your scroll from failing, it just prevents it from using up an upgrade slot so yes a 30% scroll can still boom. People sometimes use ws + 30% on the first few slots of items before moving onto ws + 10%. It's risky but it can save alot of meso if you get lucky
