Wand or staff

What is the difference between wand and staff?

 

some of the wands are a little bit faster and with lower base matt.. but it doesnt really matter, specially if ur a lukless

 

Wands usually don't require luk, staves usually do require it (with the exception of Maple staves). Most mages in this server are lukless so wands are much more popular here.

 

The speed difference between wands and staffs only affect attacking, they don't change casting speed.

 

The only mage skill affected by weapon speed is Explosion. source

Usually wands have higher atk speed (on like whack atk) but a bit lower matk so people use staff more at low lvls
But for the elemental weapons the staff ones need luk and the wands doesn't so people use wands at high lvls.
