I can't say I am a fan of account sharing, especially after I got hacked by a "friend" roughly a decade ago.. But that aside, I really don't see the big deal with it at all. Hate seeing decent people get banned. Bans should be reserved for scumbags with ill intentions. ;/

Let's stay on topic or we will be locking. Final warning.

I think we should start a fresh thread for discussion on shared storage, that is ONLY allowed to be about shared storage (and not account sharing), so that we can focus on that issue (which is a far more positive one too!)

Yes, shareable storage would be awesome!

I think a bit of thought needs to go into the design of it, e.g. how is it decided who you are sharing with?

One thing that would be useful for our guild (Plushie) would be guild storage. If it was possible to make guild storage that anybody above a certain guild rank (e.g. 4 or 3, but definitely not the lowest level, for security reasons) was able to access, that would be so awesome.

And perhaps groups of 2 - 3 could have storage together.

Of course the main factor is what the current state of the source code allows for. If the code is written in such a way that massive refactoring would be required to make the guild storage happen for example, then it would not be worth it.

And there would need to be a clear warning that the staff are not going to get involved in thefts from shared storage. Otherwise, they'd be spending all their time sorting out such dramas.

    Good call. New thread here.

Side note: sorry for the .gif stab, I had the idea and couldn't resist.
