Hey everyone, my name is David! I'm new on this private server. First off: -I'm running this private server on a Macbook pro 13'. I downloaded the MAC client and it works like a charm. Although, when I extracted the zip, I didn't get 2 folders, like the tutorials explained. Just the maplestory client. When I click on it, maple works.....I read something about having to mess with something named WINE..... MY PROBLEMS: 1) There is absolutely NO SOUND, coming from the game. I tried messing around with the settings on maple, but it says the volume is activated. What could be wrong? 2) How come my EXP and drop rates are normal? Example: slime gives me 12 exp and around 20 messos. Same for the snails and everything else (fixed) 3) Is there a way to skip the beginning when you have to level up to go to victoria island? 4) Quests don't give me the rewards Thank you for your time **** EDIT : exp rate and drop rate is okay now...temporary bug I guess!
So you'd rather have 29 people telling you they don't know what's wrong? Well, I don't know how this happens. And I'm sure the others that didn't reply also have no clue. If someone pops by who knows he'll tell you probably. Patience is the key
No idea sorry. I've never heard of this problem before so it's likely a local issue. Have you tried reinstalling/downloading?
In answer to questions 3 and 4: 3) No, there isn't a way to skip Maple Island, and I feel that introducing one would be out of keeping with the general feel of the server. (Not sure how the other members of staff feel about this - feedback, anybody?) 4) If you don't get a quest reward, first of all check the stickied lists of questing bugs to see if the quest you're having trouble is actually bugged. If it isn't, then hotkey NPC chat to talk to the NPC and use "enter" to select the right option if necessary. If you do this repeatedly, the NPC usually responds eventually. This is something that our developer has been trying to work on a fix for.
