I'm at work right now here in Manhattan on a rainy day and I've stopped everything that I'm doing to be here right now writing this. I won't bore you with the details of my childhood, but Maplestory was everything to me. I played when MapleBeta first hit the United States, when Perion Channel 1 was essentially the Free Market in MapleGlobal. I spent countless hours and days and nights playing for years. I'd rush back home from school just to get online with all of my friends in the game. I was an assassin in Bera. I remember autoclicking in Kerning and Ludi for PQs, when the infamous flying hack across the Zakum quest made everyone level up so easily, trying to go as deep as I could in SleepyWood, lounging in certain areas just for the background music, hanging out in the Sauna, racking up defame for the hell of it, the trips to Orbis that felt like you were truly traveling, random summoning bags in the city that killed countless AFKs, Zakum helmets being holy, joining PQs because I had track, and all the people I had known and met and drifted away from. Anyway, I came across this private server after I saw a YouTube video. What was going to make or break it was whether or not if there was a community. Because that's what Maplestory was for me: being able to explore and not worry about leveling, making friends, training in parties, helping each other out. When I was 13 I fancied this girl in MS and years later I found out she lived in the city next to mine, and that we had mutual friends. I'd like to know if there truly is a community in this PS and if I'll be able to stumble upon other players and whatnot. Also, I only work on a Mac. And I discovered that this game runs on a Mac. Can anyone confirm this? I'm not home yet, and when I get back, I'll be starting this game. I'd love to meet everyone and anyone. So if you'd like to leave your IGNs, I'll see you soon.
Hi Howell, welcome to Royals! The game does run on a Mac although you may encounter some problems. I literally know nothing about Mac but maybe this thread will help if you run into issues https://royals.ms/forum/threads/mapleroyal-on-el-capitan.39499/ The community here is awesome, it's honestly just like how it was back in those olden days, even has some drama but definitely less KS wars Make sure you familiarise yourself with the rules as what used to be okay in the old Maplestory days could get you banned here. Welcome Howell! I started MapleRoyals with one of my friends in real life after finding out that it was compatible with macbooks! It's really easy to have more than two clients of it up as well, you literally just right click and duplicate the client and it's done, if you ever want to have use more than one character at a time on a computer It's just so convenient and the community is just wonderful here, may you have a good time!
