For those of you who don't know yet, my glove and fs which I have worked for around 2 1/2 years were stolen.
I lent my attack gear to a guildie and he was drop trading to his other character when another player named Faelpro came by and looted my glove and shoe. I spoke with him for several hours and he said he would have to make a tough decision because he felt bad.

I truly believe that faelpro aka Rafael is a good person but presented with this opportunity, he made some less than savory decisions to not return my gear even though he has NO Attacker class yet & just started Royals 3 weeks ago & is currently playing solely for the purpose of merching.

I'm sad that this has happened, but I know that it'll be near impossible to convince someone who does not care for in-game relationships or offers of friendships.

I am not posting this with malicious intent, I just want people to know..

Yeah but it's pretty much impossible to collect from my guildie.. I was lending to him because he didn't have equips of his own so how can I expect to be paid back ? Lol.

I don't know you and by all means I'm not accusing you. Just how I saw it. And someone with no equips if there own getting used to 24att gloves and prob high attack Fs?... I don't pretty suspect that they just disappeared

 

Yes, I completely agree with you that choosing to drop trade something so valuable just to save a few seconds for myself is a dick move and probably is never worth the risk (however small it is) especially since these equips aren't mine. However in response to your claim of me being careless, I would just like to say that it wasn't like I dropped these in the entrance of ch 1 FM. I took both my characters to a remote FM with no other characters present and proceeded to drop trade. I think under these conditions most people would have assumed that it was safe to do so. However, in the end it was still a risk that I shouldn't have taken and one that ultimately came back to bite me in the ass. So yes, again it's really irresponsible of me to be dropping gear that isn't mine in a remote FM or anywhere for that matter since there is always a minute chance a random character might appear out of no where and pick them up. Unluckily that is exactly what happened, and I think in this case all you can do is hope for the looter to return the items out of the goodness in his heart. Especially an item like the scg which has a sentimental value and is irreplaceable basically since it is the only one of its kind on the server. Especially to someone like Nick who is one of the nicest and most generous guys on the server who has helped out countless people. While we can't really blame Rafael for picking up that gear lying on the ground since it's not against any game rules. I think in this situation it is fairly obvious that when I dropped the gear I was not dropping it to let just anyone grab it, and knowing this and picking up the gear and keeping it despite knowing the sentimental value I believe goes against mine and most people's moral code.

What rubs me the wrong way about this post is that you're trying so hard to defend yourself. You did fuck up, Derek. And you were careless. Your post is full of contradictions. I won't say anymore because I am not involved in this at all, but that is just my perspective (and no, I don't know what went on between you and Nick afterward--that does not matter).

please dont blame/flame derek... its an honest mistake and i dont intend for this to affect our friendship in any way.
he's defending himself because hes been getting hate from people who weren't fully informed on what had happened.
i think that given the circumstances, derek did as much as he possibly could after the fact.. he skipped his closest friend's birthday party that he was preparing for, just so that he could be in the FM talking with me and Faelpro trying to convince him trade my equips back to me.

shit happens and i'm just disappointed that one random person's actions could ruin my progress on this server.

Basically what I am trying to accomplish with this post is, to make it impossible for Faelpro to ever sell my equips to another player who is under the impression that he made it. I have already accepted that he will not be returning it, so I just want to make sure that buyer's beware. (there were several offers for my glove and I would rather not find out that this player profited off of my gear.)

 

All I'm saying is this is maplestory. Your best friends will snake you just for pixelated gloves/weapons.

Also I'm sorry that happened to you after years of hard work. And I'm sorry for my ignorance. I get carried away at times. I shouldn't have accused you.

 

I'm sorry if my post sounded like I was trying to defend myself but that was completely not my intention. I only wanted to give some more background to how the whole thing happened beyond just "looting equips in the FM". I also think I made it perfectly clear that I know I fucked up and that part was on me. The best way to have defended myself would to have not commented on this thread at all since Nick didn't name me in his previous post, and not many people would have even known that it was me who lost it.

The fact of the matter is the equips are gone and my only intention when I commented here was to help Nick. Whether it is to somehow provoke a sense of guilt in Rafael if he sees this and getting Nick's gear back or helping convince potential buyers for that glove not to buy it, this is all I can do now since I can't go back in time and reverse my dumb decisions.

Also, sorry if my post is full of contradictions I probably wasn't thinking too straight as I'm still really fucking angry at myself for what I caused.

 

Please refrain from flaming people that were not mentioned as the intention of this thread was to raise awareness and prevent the selling of Nicko's equips, not to blame Drice. It seems they have already reached an agreement amongst themselves and it is not our place to judge what he should or shouldn't have done.

Sorry to hear that though Nicko and I hope raising awareness will help you get your items back :c

I just realized a similar thing happened many months ago, when you dropped your 20WA SCG out of accident when your equipment inventory was bugged or something, I assumed you dropped it because it was trash or a failed glove. A noob walked by, looted it and went afk in a FM room, and you sat beside him waiting for him.

Next time, just keep your stuff to yourself as you never know what's going to happen.
