What you guys did with a pure int pirate for the second and third job advancement?
(How can I get enough damage to complete the job quests?)

 

The second job advancement is pretty easy.But for third job advancement i think its tough for a pure int pirate but maybe you can try to use onyx apple and a good lv64 gun and also with some good buffs. Uhm if you're still a pure int pirate after 120 i don't think you are able to complete the skills quest .

 

I can really kill the monster with only 20 dex? Like I'm 24 atm and I can hit only 1 no matter what.

Also, I should be using a high watt weapon with sommersault kick or some gun(can only wear the lvl10) with a double bullet?

Sorry for this stupid questions but I never played pirate on my life so I don't know how they work,

 

the gunslinger job advancement requires you to kill the monsters with double shot only. IIRC, there are safe spots for you to slowly snipe the job advancement monsters too. I think having only 20 dex shouldn't be a problem, you're just gonna take a lot longer than a normal build pirate. I recently did the job advancement on a brawler i'm hp washing

 

Uh corsair's sommersault kick is really weak .So double shot would be better lel.

 

Just did the quest, thank god I just needed to kill 2 octopusses. I didn't know it dropped so easy(I thought it was going to be black marble hunting like the other classes).

Hi, you encouraged me to play Corsair, I did! It was great!! I have a question: if i have 5k HP then I got buffed HB and my HP raise to 7k, then I got 1/1 attack, how many Hp my ship lose??? 4999 or 6999???

I'm a little bit confused about the whole HP washing situation with corsair class, especially on the new source. I'm planning to main one and invest a lot in it, so I really don't want to mess things up.

Many people have told me I HAVE to HP wash, even with 200+ base int.
On other hand, most (if not all) high leveled corsairs on this server didn't wash at all, or leveled with int gear at high levels at best...This guide also does not recommend washing at all.

But then I have the HP washing guide which is clearly saying I should wash. So yeah, this whole situation is REALLY confusing.

I don't want to wash just to find out it was unnecessary or worse - my ship will die fast af. But I also do not want to level up to like 155 (especially on a corsair without leeching) and find out my character is screwed and will never HT.

If that matters, I can easily get myself like 60-70 int gear as early as possible and level up with like 100-70 base int in addition. But the question is, should I even bother with this and if yes, will it be enough to HT safely and without dying if the Drk gets DC?

Can any high leveled sair clear the situation once and for all?

Oh and I don't mind if I don't HT at 155. I can wait to 160/165 or even 170.

 

Most high level corsairs didn't wash because of a mechanic with the 4th job battleship skill. If you wash to max HP, for example, and get hit by a 1/1 attack then the game registers that you took 29,999 damage, thus doing 29,999 to your battleship if you're in it. This will destroy your ship and make it go on cooldown, making you a lot weaker during a boss run.

My corsair is level 155, and I washed it to the exact amount of HP needed to do the theoretical Pink Bean boss (if that ever comes out) with hyper body. I didn't wash to survive HT, or for any other reason, and it would most likely be best to not wash at all unless you have a specific goal like this in mind due to the aforementioned battleship mechanic. I will say, though, that washing on a corsair seems pretty easy, and I was able to level all the way to 155 without leeching at all, even with ridiculous base INT because I had some good gear (I was even doing BFs at level 90, it took a while but saved a lot of money I would have spent leeching). Hopefully this is helpful to you.

Oh, and about the DK dcing, not sure if you'd still be able to survive HT if that happens, but with the new source TM you shouldn't have people d/cing in runs anymore.

 

Ok that clears the situation up. I have decided to wash to like 7.8k at 155/160. Doesn't seems too hard from what I've checked and is not too much for my ship to get destroyed fast.

What gear should I focus on getting? What stats glove, weapon, overall, cape...? I don't want to be extremely weak until I get rid of my base int and finish the washing. It's not that bad in the 1st and 2nd job, but being weak the whole 3rd job can really mess up the leveling process. So I need to get good items once scrolling is up again..Any recommendations?

 

I don't know how difficult it will be for you to get certain items, but I'd aim for a 15 ATT SCG, well scrolled maple gun and clean PAC/PGC with 3+ ATT, possibly chaos'd if you have the funds. I was fortunate enough to have make my corsair after my Shadower, so I had some good ATT items already, and was also able to have a steady supply of heartstoppers and red ciders for training.

 

so I'm wondering if I should max out battleship since the new source is supposed to make it useful to max it out or should I just keep it at 1?
