Hi my royals friends! I am currently washing my NL, and i have heard a few different responses to this question: What is the minimum clean HP needed for a NL to HT without HB? Some people have told me 7.6k(similar to sila's guide), while others i have talked to in-game say it is still the old 9k requirement. From what i understand, 7.6k HP means that you can fight the tails/legs/head normally, but cannot afford to get hit by the wings, while having 9k HP means you can just climb up from the legs to the head and not be afraid of the wings touching you. Anyone can clarify this issue for me? All help is appreciated!
You're correct, 7.6k allows you to attack the tail, legs, and head. Since the wings do ~9kish damage and if for some reason you get knocked off the top left/right platform, you can always climb back up using Dark Sight to avoid getting hit by the wings. You're still able to fight Head A and C safely if the wings are still up if you stand a bit behind where the wings flare up so you don't get hit. A lot of people wash past 7.6k anyways so they can comfortably HT without having to worry about getting hit by the wings, but it's not necessary.
