HEY! Are you constantly asking other people when pierre is gonna spawn? Or are you tired of constantly keeping a timer going or doing ~uptime? Do you also have a discord server?!! Well i made a bot just for you! I've never made a discord bot before and i figured this would be a perfect opportunity to learn a little bit about how they work and at the same time learning some c# by making a bot to keep track of the pierre respawn time! Spoiler: Command !pierre - you can also use !clown to do the same thing, this displays the current time until pierre The bot will auto delete old messages, and edit the most recent message to constantly show the correct time until pierre. It will also automatically send messages when pierre is 20/10/5 minutes away from spawning and will @everyone telling everybody that he is spawning. The bot does this every 4 hours. Spoiler: Inviting the bot to your discord server All you need to do to get the bot in your server is by either owning the server or having the "manage server" permission and going to this link to invite it and selecting the server you want from the drop down https://discordapp.com/oauth2/authorize?&client_id=239237807770566656&scope=bot&permissions=0 You don't need to give the bot any special privileges or anything as long as it can send and delete its own messages it will be fine If the bot ever displays the wrong time, this is either because of a bug i haven't discovered yet or because of a server check. Just know that if it does end up being incorrect, i'll do my best to fix it as fast as possible. (It's not hard to fix just need to be there to do it)
I have one suggestion! Can you make it so that the bot doesn't automatically update every 10 minutes and only when we use the command !pierre?
The bot currently sends a new message when there's 30 minutes left, when theres 10 minutes left, and when there's 5 minutes left. The @everyone is on the 30 minute mark, and i'd like to leave it that way as a lot of people i've talked to have said it's quite helpful. The bot updates the last message it sent every 1 minute to show the correct time, but that shouldn't show up as a new message or anything.
I haven't been home the last few days so i've not been on top of keeping the bot going, but im home now so it should be better To answer your question you could pm me on discord to try to get my attention if the bots not on, or even pm me on royals too
